Review: My automobile was towed to their collision shop at JFA auto body to repair a windshield and hood. The agreed upon price was $1100 and $600 deposit was given with a total due amount of $500. After numerous phone calls and two months the hood and windshield I believe have been replaced. He then informed me that he had an issue starting the vehicle and needed a specific module from [redacted] and the part was $178 and could only be purchased by the owner. The next day he informed me of this issue I went to [redacted] and paid and picked up this part. While at [redacted] I was informed that the only reason this module would fail would be to someone jumping the vehicle and incorrectly placing the negative and positive terminals. I dropped the part off at JFA and informed him of this issue and he responded in " maybe one of his guys did that but haven't fessed up" I told him I shouldnt be responsible but I just wanted the car back and running the way I gave it to him. He agreed to finish within the week and this was approximately another month passes. This care has been in his possession for over 3-4 months and all that was required was a hood and windshield replacement. No mechanical repairs were to be made.Desired Settlement: Return the vehicle in good running order the way it was given to them and replacement of hood and windshield which was already paid for. Please help.
At this time, I have not been contacted by J.F.A. Auto Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I did however contact them 2 weeks ago on the [redacted] of May and the [redacted] had informed me that it would be done by next week and he wanted to do the right thing. But that week passes yet again and no response or call from the shop yet again. Every time I have spoke to him in the past 4 months he has told me that it would be done by next week.
