We have offered in writing multiple times to refund
the client's money and will do so less the actual hard costs (no charge for the
hours of labor incurred for the carpenters prep on those special order
materials) incurred for special order materials that were ordered weeks prior
to
starting the project and are specific to the project. However, we have
not heard anything from the client of her willingness to accept this until now
via this complaint. Certainly, this project did not go as planned. There
were dozens of documented attempts with hundreds of emails to resolve and
finalize. The client too, must accept responsibility for her dozens and dozens
of requested changes and additions to the project as well as her inability to
make final decisions that would allow the project to commence at any level even
when presented with that specific request
We do not wish to argue or state any additional comments as they
have been worn out through other means including *** ***. Please refer to
all published responses for further information if desired. We will communicate again directly with the client to resolve
and refund her appropriately

These efforts have been replayed over and over via this forum and we do not intend to rehash how we tried to accomplish Ms. [redacted]’s goals. We have already submitted all costs that were incurred, and refunded all others including delivering at our cost the materials to her site. We have done exactly what we said we would do and we are officially finished responding to this forum.

What the business has refunded only partially repairs the damage that has been caused to me and that goes far beyond the simple request I made to refund at least the money I directly gave to the business for no service in return. Any honest business would have proposed a compensation for the damage. I have been extremely accommodating and did not even asked for it, I only asked for the refund. This should be the very least the business should feel obliged to do.

We worked with this company for several months creating the specifications and bids for a project to install large windows in the lower level of our home. Working with them was a real pleasure. Their quality of their estimates and advice was outstanding. They were friendly, timely, professional and fulfilled all of our expectations. Our personal interactions with company representatives was as good as anyone could want. Ultimately, we did not hire them to do the project for reasons that had nothing to do with them. Had we gone ahead with the project, we are confident they would have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend that if you are thinking about hiring a construction and remodeling firm, you talk with these folks. They are an excellent company, our experience with them was first rate, and we will be going back to them again on our next project.
