JGY Customs Reviews (12)

Worse company to do business with
Contacted them (jgy customs) about an engine listing they had on eBay. Started off very nice, formal conversation. As soon as I asked if I can inspect it before I bought it. The whole conversation changed so, I asked if I bought it would there be any type of warranty said no. (Was still going to buy it either way) Week or two pass, I call them back. Very hostile, said and I quote “you’re more than welcome to come and I’ll give you a tour of the parking lot with your face” very unprofessional. Would stay far away from this business. Very disappointed.

Not True We have a Nissan for sale on [redacted] This person called in response to the advertisement He asked me about the car I eventually had [redacted] talk to him about the car because he knew more about it Neither of us are the owners, not that it matters We sent him a copy of the title via email to show him that it says "water damage" on it On [redacted] , you can't put a copy of the title on the advertisement On ***, you list that On [redacted] , you can't He asked me if it was a "salvage" title I told him that it wasn't In Virginia, salvage and water damage are very different things on a vehicle title He offered to pay a deposit of $if we would not sell it until the weekend so that he could come get it [redacted] told him that the deposit was not refundable if he didn't show up We told him that if he didn't like the car once he got here and looked at it, we would give the deposit back The deposit would only be refunded if he decided he didn't like it after being showed the car He agreed He then called back asking which airports were near here We discussed that He then called a 3rd time and said that he paid for a [redacted] and that it showed it was a "salvage and flood damaged" title due to something in [redacted] in I heard [redacted] tell him that the title as emailed to him so that he could get insurance on it says "water damaged" He basically argued with us that the title was wrong and that he was right He also described something about a Cadillac that he owned and have a hard time selling it Either way, [redacted] emailed him a copy of the title before I charged him the deposit The car is described accurately and fairly He is the one that is claiming that the title says something it doesn't The Department of Motor Vehicles of Virginia does not consider the car as "salvage" or "flood damage" He is simply arguing something that we don't know how to respond to He kept arguing with me that the title was wrong If you would like a copy of the title, please advise The title disproves his arguement We will honor our acceptance of his offer of $12,for another week

Regarding #*** *** *** I, *** talked to this guy over the phone about the car. He told me that he saw the car for sale on our website and wanted more pictures. It is a Nissan with no motor or transmission. It also had no fenders or back
bumper. It is a shell. $900. People buy these cars to put different motors in. He wanted more photos so I sent him more photos on the day he asked. He called back and said he got the photos*** processed his payments. I assume he paid for the car because he showed up 3-13-to get the car. He was here with a friend. After they looked at the car, we did the title work for the car. He signed the title and left. About hour later, he came back in the office and said that they were done stripping out the interior and he was complaining about some rust and wanted some money back. Who buys a car and then strips out the interior? He also informed us that they broke the key off in the door. It’s $for a Nissan. We can’t go any lower. If he didn’t like it, he shouldn’t have signed the title after looking at it. Before he left, he said he was leaving the car here and didn’t want it. I was shocked. Who strips a car in our parking lot after buying it and then wants their money back
We now have a car sitting here with no interior, no trunk pieces, the wheels turned to the left, no key to open the door or turn the steering wheel, and no title since he took it. Also, the windshield is now broken. We think he did that on purpose when leaving
Yesterday, 3-18-15, the day after making this demand for $back through you guys, he showed up with the Sheriff department demanding that he pick the car up and we give him $back. Who calls the Sheriff to come pick up a car? After he stripped the car of its interior and broke the key in the door (it ruined the door) there is nothing we can do. You can’t get money back and the car.
Also, the phone number he or who ever used on this complaint is not the one we have for him. That is also not his address that he used here. That is also not his email he used here. We asked him that yesterday when he was here. Also, he was driving a PA plated car, claims to live in NY
This must be some type of weird scam

1. We reject the demand to pay him $
2. We reject the offer to have him pick up the car and pay him $
3. *** does not = JGY
4. We are not going to pay him $(he writes "demand and extra $300.00)
5. We never said that the Revdex.com complaint had anything to do with why the vehicle is not available. The vehicle was available when he stripped it and got all the paperwork. He is the one that abandoned the vehicle on our lot with no way to move it without having us performing labor to do so. He even suggested that we fix the non-operational ignition even going as far as telling us where we could get the parts to do so We don't work for free. We simply do not agree with demanding $AND the vehicle. To make it worse, not he wants $300. We sold the car for $900. Paying him $simply makes no sense. That's $more than the car price
It is obvious that this is not going to be resolved with his demands. We don't know how to logically communicate with someone that buys a car, strips the interior, and then demands money to be given back. This could have been a simple transaction that would have involved no labor on our part. That was ruined after breaking the key for the car and forcing us to move the vehicle

Attaching something labeled "bogus JGYCUSTOMS_Inc._2152.pdf" is asking for someone or some business not to help you.
We have been very nice and appropriate during this entire weird car sale.
The normal customer doesn't strip the interior of a car and call the sheriff department to look at a car.  Even claiming that we have the car in a dark corner on jack stands is so weird.  Who does that?
We are not going to pay him or return money to him as he and you demand.  He and this issue is taking a considerable amount of time from us on a $900 car sale.  Any profit that we may have made on the sale has been drained from this.
The car still sits here.
At this point we feel it's best that the customer call us directly so we can discuss his options for picking it up.

Not True.
We have a Nissan for sale on [redacted].  This person called in response to the advertisement.  He asked me about the car.  I eventually had [redacted] talk to him about the car because he knew more about it.  Neither of us are the owners, not that it...

matters.  We sent him a copy of the title via email to show him that it says "water damage" on it.  On [redacted], you can't put a copy of the title on the advertisement.  On [redacted], you list that.  On [redacted], you can't.
He asked me if it was a "salvage" title.  I told him that it wasn't.  In Virginia, salvage and water damage are 2 very different things on a vehicle title.  He offered to pay a deposit of $500 if we would not sell it until the weekend so that he could come get it.   [redacted] told him that the deposit was not refundable if he didn't show up.  We told him that if he didn't like the car once he got here and looked at it, we would give the deposit back.  The deposit would only be refunded if he decided he didn't like it after being showed the car.  He agreed.
He then called back asking which airports were near here.  We discussed that.  He then called a 3rd time and said that he paid for a [redacted] and that it showed it was a "salvage and flood damaged" title due to something in [redacted] in 2006.  I heard [redacted] tell him that the title as emailed to him so that he could get insurance on it says "water damaged".  He basically argued with us that the title was wrong and that he was right.  He also described something about a Cadillac that he owned and have a hard time selling it.
Either way, [redacted] emailed him a copy of the title before I charged him the deposit.  The car is described accurately and fairly.  He is the one that is claiming that the title says something it doesn't.  The Department of Motor Vehicles of Virginia does not consider the car as "salvage" or "flood damage".  He is simply arguing something that we don't know how to respond to.  He kept arguing with me that the title was wrong.
If you would like a copy of the title, please advise.  The title disproves his arguement.  We will honor our acceptance of his offer of $12,500 for another week.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Once again JGY customs is giving us an opinion on what car title laws should be like. The cars title is branded SALVAGE. I will be more than happy to provide a copy of the [redacted]. I even asked about [redacted] on the car but JGYcustoms wasnt able to provide one. A copy of the Title was sent by email at 5:02 in the pm, I inquired about the car around lunchtime so not true.  Why would I fly or drive 10 hours for something that I do not want. Bottomline is that I was lied to about a major determining factor of a vehicle sale.  The deposit of 500 would have never happened if I was told the truth about the cars history.  The only service rendered by JGY customs was a phone conversation about the car followed by a deposit of 500.  Just seems unfair.

*. [redacted]

Review: I previously purchased a product from them and gave them all the info they needed to insure that they were selling me a part that would work and fit on my car. When I got around to installing I found the part didn't fit my current list of parts and specifications that I gave them. They suggested I needed to buy more parts from them to make it fit. When I expressed I wanted to shop around I was yelled at, talked down to, and finally hung up on twice by two different staff personnel.Desired Settlement: That they refund me.

Response:

Regarding #[redacted] The JGY fuel rail is designed to fit JGY injectors. That is listed on the invoice and discussedwith the customer when the purchase is made. The customer has the option to purchase ourinjectors or not. As seen on the invoice, the customer may also opt to send us 2 injectors forrail fitment. This actually has no merit on this case, but is worth mentioning. With the particular customer, he suggested that his injectors that he purchased fromsomewhere else would fit. We explained that there are 100's of different injector designs andsizes. Upon receiving our fuel rail, he found out that they would not fit and thus purchasedour injectors. Please note the three month time between orders. His descriptions of the conversations are false.1. At no time, was he yelled at. Why? He would call and purchase items. 2. We did not suggest for him to buy more parts to make something fit. We offer alifetime warranty on the fitment of our injectors with our rail. That is all he bought.3. Ironically, he has yet to receive the injectors he ordered as it's only been 2 days fromthe order date. Once he receives them, they will fit.4. He did not call and inform us he wanted to shop somewhere else. If he did, that wouldbe acceptable.5. His description is false. We do not allow you to inform us of the injectors youwill be using and make a rail for those. Our rails fit our injectors similarly to how General Motors Impala floor mats fit General Motors Impala vehicles and not Ford Contours.Per the invoice and as a courtesy, if you send us your injectors we will attempt to custom make a rail to fit your needs at an additional fee. He opted not to use that service.6. He called and ordered injectors from us. We do not call customers to sell items.7. He later initiated a call to ask for tracking and became angry when explained that the U.S. Elections closed USPS for Tuesday. We did not know they would be closed that day and thus his items shipped Wednesday, We apologized for the issue. Please note from the time he ordered until the items shipped was less than 24 hours. He hasn't even received them yet.8. During the use of profanity from him, he was explained how to return the injectors once he receives them and accepted the terms of our return policy.9. We will abide by our documented and explained policy.Under the circumstances, we feel this is a false and grossly misrepresented claim against JGY. He is simply asking for a refund. We will gladly issue him one. If we were to file a clairn against [redacted] with the Revdex.com on the grounds that we purchased an item from the storeand demanded a refund before returning the item, would you consider that to be a validclaim? Please allow him to actually receive the shipped items, return them, and then if norefund is given, allow a claim to be filed. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. "I received a box of parts from JGY. I do not wish to attempt speak wtih JGY personally, but instead would prefer to use this Revdex.com complaint as medium to possibly resolve this issue. I'll send back the box of parts and pay for the shipping, tracking and insurance if JGY will agree to issue a full refund-- no restocking fees or any other hidden fees as well as the shipping they charged to send the box to me. I will not absorb this loss on fees and shipping. In return, I no longer pursue this Revdex.com complaint and also notify my bank of the resolution to have them close the claim I have with them.If JGY agrees, please respond via here and advise on the directions to process this return."Regards,[redacted]

Business

Response:

We have offered to issue a refund if the items are returned. He has not attempted to return the items. He is not satisfied with a refund? Most of what he responded with only confuses us more as to what he is now asking for. What are the hidden fees? We will offer more. He may keep the bags and the stickers. This is a simple "cancel an order" issue. Why must this be so difficult? What is the goal? Please be advised that initiating a bank dispute in regards to ordered and received items may delay (not prevent, just delay) a satisfactory outcome because that forces involvement from our credit card processor and his bank. If he has done such, we may be forced to wait for their involvement. He must call us for a return authorization number.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In their last response they aren't acknowledging that there are NO FEES. Please see down towards the bottom of the attached PDF for highlighted text. If they will respond here and state that "There will be no fees and a full refund of that total on the attached invoice will be issued", and provide the details on sending these parts back then I will have this expressed mailed to them, ASAP.Also, I do not wish to keep anything, not stickers, nor shirt. They can have it all back.Regards,[redacted]

Review: HOW JGY RIPPED ME OFF/ROBBED ME-so about a month ago I was just browsing [redacted] for a clean 240sx coupe shell. something black as I wanted to do a grand national paint job to. so I stumbled upon what seemed at the time a good deal for a shell with no engine/tranny/missing fenders. but a full clean interior.so I call up JGY and speak to this "[redacted]" fellow. jgy has a reputation and it was good from what I found. so I really didn't think 2x buying a car from them sight unseen. I didn't haggle with their 900 price tag as again, finding a clean WRECK FREE/RUST FREE. shell is hard to come by. so 2/9 I finish paying charge for this shell. before that I asked [redacted] 4x(at least) if the car was wrecked, and it had bad rust on it. he assured me that neither was the case. there were some photos listed in the posting and he went out and took one of the trunk for me. so 3/13 I get to jgy to check out the car, sighn/obtain the title and to sell some interior pieces to a local fellow. so my shock and disgust the damn car is a wash.there is visibly 3 impacts to the body. one buckled the rear bottom of the trunk. and the other is the front frame rail. and they refuse to give me my money back!!!!! I walked [redacted] out, showed him the damage and he still claims it's a "straight" car. this guy is really delusional. I asked him to talk to his boss for a refund and no avail. so now today they call me and ask if I can get the car moved off their lot by Friday(they told me before I came and found out it was a piece of crap, there is no rush). so iam stuck with a shell I don't need/cant use with some useful parts on it. someone needs to make some kind of offer. and never do business with jgy!!Desired Settlement: I would like the remainder value of the car. I had some interior pieces removed and sold. this was predetermined before I seen the car and condition it was in. so total I would like back is $750.00 and they can take the car back.

Review: Called Jgy customs about a car for sale. After discussing the car with the owner, I was told the vehicle had a clean title. I offered a 500 deposit and to pick up te car that weekend. After checking [redacted] ( just to be sure) the vehicle in fact has a flood/salvage title. Called the owner same day to get a refund on the deposit since the vehicle is not what was advertised. Owner tried to sell me that the car in fact has a clean title and that he was not aware of the cars title problems. I received an email that the I lost the 500 deposit since I never came to see the car. The car is about 8 hours drive from my location, what sense would it make for me to see the car.Desired Settlement: 500

Response:

Regards,
