[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because he mislead me to believe that the family room was leaking due to the roof and I needed to change the entire roofI have pictures of the leak area and his workers fixing the spot from the inside with new drywallHe did not check the root cause of the leak and made a quick buck off of me and now he is bringing in the experts that he should have done at the onset to find out the reason of the leakThe leak from the skylight was caused by his workers for not sealing it properly and not the reason to hire himThe spot was the joint of the addition of new room to the old house as you can see from the photosMore recently, He told me that he would come on July 4th even though it was holiday, but no phone call or messageHe texted me on July 6th that he was sick and at NOVA that he was sorryHe subsequently sent an expert, who told me that a new roof was not necessary it was a pipe coming from attic that is the cause of the leak as it is going into the gutter causing a hole in the gutterHe told me twice after his experts diagnosed the real reason that he will come and reroute the pipe but did not show upHe took an appointment from the expert to come on July 19th while he was in my houseHe did not show up neither did he call me or messaged meMy sister then called him asking when he would come over as I was under the weatherHe told her that he would come on July 26thHe never showed up or called meHe knows that he misdiagnosed the issueHe blindly changed my roof and if he did not possess the expertise then he should have taken advice from someone who was an expert in the area then rather than laterHe is responsible to fix the problem Regards, [redacted]

As indicated by the home owner of *** ***., we have replaced the shingles on her roof on or about September In response to her complaint about the minor leaking around the skylight in the sunroom, we sent crews and re-caulk the skylight in September (Not February 2015)About a year
and half later in March 2016, she called and complained about another leakI've visited her home times and 4th with a professional roofing contractor with more than year experience, in an effort to find the cause of the new leak in the ceiling between the main house and attached sunroomWe informed her that the new leak is not from the roof but from the HVAC condenser pipe that was improperly connected to the main house gutterBy the way, we replaced on the shingles (no gutter)I explained to her that the HVAC condenser pipe has to be connected to the drain pipe, not to the gutter, and suggested that she call the HVAC contractorShe has been calling and texting me almost every dayI was nice enough to visit her times March of this year and even cared to bring another professional to help her determine the real cause of the problemShe should have the HVAC professional re-route the condenser pipeIt will stop the leakAll in all, please be informed that her complain has no ground at all.Sincerely,J H L** JHL Construction, LLC
