I have already show the work that we did, any communication that you had after hours with Daniel, is your business not mine.engine was installed correctly and you just dont want to accept that your vehicle needs more work done to it, but you want it for free. there is not warranty on any labor, you bought the engine yourself, not us, so you are responsible for labor no matter what! even if the new engine you bought came out bad.you need to accept this, there is not refund what so ever on labor.we dont warranty used parts or laboronly on special automotive repairs, for example (rebuilding an engine, transmission, and other few things)

I am rejecting this response because:Before purchasing the engine to be placed in the vehicle, I was advised that the engine I picked would work via text message from DanielI sent him the website with all the specs and details, in which he responded "I have installed and ordered their engines before for customers good clean engines.." He assured me that this would be a quick and easy processThis was on Monday, Apri 3rdI have all the text messages between myself and Daniel still saved on my phone, besides the obvious ones we had over the phone that I have no way of savingMy concern was never with the power of the engineDaniel said that because of the smaller engine, it would run slowerNever at any point did he mention I would permanently have a check engine light come on due to the smaller engineOn April 13th, Daniel text me that I would still not be able to pick up my car due to smoke that he said was from the radiator and too much pressureHe said he would not be charging me any extra labor to install and that I would just have to pay the $- $for the part, but other than that everything was good to goSo I agreed to pay the $for the used partHe said it should be done this same day and he will ensure the radiator is nice and cleanMy daughter picked up the car April 13thOnce she picked the car up, it immediately started smoking and she was reassured that this was caused from excess oil burning offI contacted Daniel on the 17th of April to inform him that my daughter would be bringing the car back in because it was still smoking from the engineLater on that same evening, I text him to ask him if he had checked the power steering fluid because my daughter had mentioned it was hard to turn and making weird noisesHe responded that the car may leaking from the steering rack, but we later found out it was leaking the reservoir that was damagedWe never had a problem with this before the engine was "replaced" and he couldn't diagnose this, we found this out ourselvesI brought the car in yet again to have the reservoir fixed, which in turn did end up fixing the power steering and the car finally stopped smokingTo clarify again, my husband and I found this problem ourselves since we were not getting an answer or solution from the mechanicsApril 21st, we picked up the carOn May 8th, my daughter brought the car in to have the oil changed since we were told to get this done after milesMay 22nd, I text Daniel and asked him to take a look at the car again due to it making a weird noise and the AC not workingWe brought the car in the same day and were told by Johnny that the AC was over charged (not a big deal) and that the steering belt, steering pump, and tie rods now needed to be fixedHe quoted us $for these repairsAt this time, I paid $to have the AC doneOn May 24th, I asked Daniel if the repairs were something that needed to be done right away for fear of my daughters safety, but at this point I have been drained of moneyHe did not reply to this text until May 30th and said "some of the stuff on the Subaru doesn't need to be done this minute but it will need to be done soon." June 12th, I sent another text to Daniel asking to bring the car in to double check everything and have the noise fixed, and brought the car in the next dayJune 15th, I asked if he had the chance to look at it and in response was told he hasn't found the source to the noise yet and he needed it to stay another nightJune 16th, I still had no answers and picked the car upJune 20th, I dropped the car back off for answersI text him the 21st to follow up and received no responseAgain I reached out on the 22nd, no responseI eventually got ahold of him via phone call a few days laterOn the 26th, Daniel text me that he still didn't have any luck and was bringing it to the other shop on Clearwater to have it looked atOn the 27th, he again said he has no answers but that the car was safe to drive and he would need to schedule us in again at a later timeThat Sunday, July 2nd, I dropped off the carKeep in mind this has become a huge inconvenience for myself and my family as my daughter relies on this car to get to school every dayDaniel promised me "it would be a better experience." I picked the car up Thursday the 6th of July, and again had no answers for where the noise was coming fromThis is when I was also informed that he had lost my daughters key to the carAt this point I'm frustrated that there are still no answers and also asked him about the check engine lightHe ran a few tests and said it could be something to do with the new engine and it could be emitting too much carbon monoxide, but that whatever it is he would fix itI was never once told that there would be a light from replacing the engine and would not have agreed to this knowing that the check engine light would remain onI called Johnny and expressed my concerns and frustration with his employee Daniel and the work that has been doneI asked him to look at the car himself and brought the car back in a few days laterMy concerns where the noise, the check engine light, and the hard shiftingI felt the engine was never installed correctlyJohnny called me a few days later and said he didn't see any issues with the engine or the install and that the noise was coming from the transmission mount that now needed to be replaced as well as the tie rodI explained to him that there was never a noise until he did the engine work and he told me it had nothing to do with replacing the engineAt this time, he was not willing to do any more work to the engine even though Daniel assured me he would check it and get the engine light to turn offHe was done dealing with itHe abandoned the job and refused to fix anything furtherI was very clear that the parts were not warrantied but was assured that the labor wasI will be taking the car to another mechanic to see if the engine and parts that I supplied were attached and installed correctlyIf in fact there is an issue and it was not done correctly, I want Johnny's Auto to take responsibility and pay for the repairsI will make arrangements to have it looked at as soon as possible and supply documentationAgain this was never a power issue, tie rod, or power steering, issueJust simply the engine and quality of the install that resulted in further damage to the vehicle and the time and money I had to continue to supply to thisThe engine itself is warrantied with whom I purchased it from, as long as it was installed by a certified mechanicIf they thought the engine itself was bad, Daniel was aware of this warranty and that I could have taken it back to receive a different oneNever was I told that the engine was bad or had issues, so this is also not a valid excuse as to why the car has so many problems after their install. I have all the text messages still saved on my phone and can supply them if needed. Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
Daniel is your employee and represents your company, after hours or not. Which, keep in mind, this communication was almost all during business hours. This response itself just goes to show what kind of business you run. Again, I have all the text messages saved on my phone of what was guaranteed and what wasn't, as described in my previous email. I paid your business to do work that was not done correctly, or in a timely manner. Just to reiterate, Daniel knew that the engine came with a warranty and reassured me numerous times that the problem was never once the engine itself. It is the installing mechanics responsibility to fill out the warranty paperwork for the customer if the engine was bad, stating what is wrong with it so it can be returned. Daniel knew this before I bought the engine and promised me he would take care of the warranty if there were any issues with the engine. This claim is only in regards to the engine install. Either the engine was not properly installed or the engine was bad, both in which would be your responsibility at this point. I could have had Daniel fill out and complete all the warranty paperwork, but again Daniel said the engine was good. This has nothing to do with any other issues on the vehicle. This is extremely unprofessional and unethical and I will be taking other action in regards to this matter.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
