I hired [redacted] for 6 hours of work to make a mudroom. In order to do this he had to remove side walls from closet to open the space.First of all my father is a carpenter. He said that within 6 hours [redacted] could of completed not only opening the closet but the other items I asked he stated would cost extra like adding a bench and hooks. He said he would only have time to do the door opening. When his workers got there they did not speak good English. They spent 15 minutes on the phone with [redacted] asking what work needed to be done. When the workers got off the phone with [redacted] they opened the space and cut into plumbing and it flooded the downstairs mudroom they could not get it to stop for almost 20 minutes. I ran to get towels which are now ruined. They called [redacted] who showed up left for almost 2 hours and came back to patch up the cut pipe. During that time 3 workers sat in my mudroom with the door wide open letting flys in my house with my AC running. When [redacted] returned he put the molding on the door but now I have a whole at the top of my door and a wide opened space where he cut the pipe. I contacted [redacted] to report what had happenend and asked for a refund. They said they would not refund my money because the work had started. What work? Nothing was done and it is now worse then what we started. The water that came out is now in the plywood and the wood expanded some. I want my 200 back or the work completed in its entirety since [redacted] lied to me about the work. [redacted] stated that he does not make any money off the [redacted] add. Its to get business. I believe because of this he lied to me about what he could do so he could make some profit for minimal work.Desired SettlementI want my 200 back and for them to pay and fix for the damage they have caused to my drywall and walls. Business Response JHR Contractors Inc. has already tried to contact the costumer [redacted] on 7/3/2014 after we received an e-mail from her with a copy of Revdex.com Complaint Case# [redacted] (Ref#XX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX) to try to get to an agreement with the costumer. We had no response to that phone call and therefore left a voice mail. Then we contacted [redacted]'s [redacted] and asked to have a refund done for Mrs. [redacted]. Even though [redacted]'s [redacted] rules for refund is that once the work has started, there will be no refund, the refund was done and we still have not received any calls or e-mails from the costumer. So we assume we have already resolved it directly since Mrs. [redacted] only wanted her refund and she has already received it.
