Jiffy Lube #3359 Reviews (1)

Review: On 4/10/15 I took my 1999 [redacted] Explorer to Jiffy Lube (owned by [redacted] Chico, CA) in Paradise, CA for an oil change, a transmission fluid exchange, & to have the Coolant Fluid Exchange. All of this was done. At that time the manager [redacted] told me he would give me a discount on brakes as I needed them also. I agreed. They replaced the front brakes using [redacted] Hardware Kit, [redacted] Front Brake Pads & [redacted] Front Rotor & Hub Assembly. I paid $239.71 for the brakes, & $29.99 for Brake Fluid Exchange. My problem is only with the brake replacement. When they told me the truck was ready I noticed the ABS light was on & stayed on all time. I immediately asked why the light was on. It was closing time by then. They asked me to bring the truck back the next day for them to check it. I took it back on 4 separate occasions, 3 of them I had to leave the car all day & they were never able to get the light to turn off. The brakes worked fine. I asked the manager [redacted] if that would hurt my car or be a problem when I had to smog it. He said no. The ABS light has been on until Wed 12/2/15. At 6:30 am I drove the car for my twice weekly blood test & found out quickly that I had no brakes. The ABS light has gone off. I drove to a certified mechanic & asked him to check the problem. He drove the truck, scanned the problem and told me Jiffy Lube had used the incorrect size rotor. He said to take it back to Jiffy Lube immediately & wrote a note for me to give Jiffy Lube stating what he found. I took it back. They had it 2 1/2 hours while I sat there & then they decided to test drive it. When [redacted] came back he said that yes something is wrong. The new manager, [redacted] said it didn't have anything to do with what they had done on the brakes during install. He did at some point call the certified mechanic I took the truck to that morning. I feel they should have taken care of the ABS light and found out what was wrong. As soon as the light went out, I had NO brakes.Desired Settlement: I need the $269.70 plus tax back now so that I can have the problem corrected and be able to drive my truck. I have blood work done 2x week plus 2 visits to the hospital for IV's every week. I live on SS & don't have the money to fix it and then fight for my right to have the brakes done correctly. I have not contacted the owner of the store. I'm a 69 y/o widow and feel I was very much taken advantage of. Can you help me get my money back quickly as I cannot drive anywhere with no brakes.
