Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
While reluctant to have Jiffy Lube perform any repairs on my vehicle, after a few exchanges through the Revdex.com, I accepted the district managers position to allow replacement of the pads for no cost. On Monday 9/4/17 I went to Jiffy Lube at 1:30pm. While sitting in my car behind the facility I saw two employees, one I believe to be named [redacted]. When he saw me he said to the other employee, "here's the [redacted] guy with the complaint". He then walked over to my car and said they could do my pads today. I asked why and he said because the manager was not there and he didn't have a driver. I accepted and left. I then called Jiffy Lube the next morning on my way to work and spoke to [redacted]. I clarified who I was and why I was calling and she confirmed she knew who I was and offered a reason why they couldn't perform the repair the day before. I accepted and said I would return the morning of Saturday 9/9/17 to have the break pads completed. She said that was fine.Latest Developments. As schedule I arrived this morning at 8:15am and pulled in back awaiting for direction of where to proceed. The same employee, [redacted] said, "pull it right here". I pulled behind the furthest left garage door, exited my, walked into the garage area passed [redacted]. She not anyone else said anything to me, nor did I say anything to anyone else. Unlike the other times I've been there no one greeted me or walked me into the waiting area. I assumed this was because of their knowledge of my pending complaint. As I always do, I waited outside for my vehicle because it was a nice day. 20 minutes later at approximately 8:40am[redacted] pulled my car out, exited the vehicle and walked back into the garage area all the way to the opposite end as to avoid me. Because no one said anything to me I popped my head in and made eye contact with the employee I believe to be [redacted]. I asked him if they needed anything else from me and he said, "no your good". I got in my vehicle and left, assuming my brake pads were replaced for free per the agreement reached through the Revdex.com. Approximately 90 minutes later a local police officer came to my home. I greeted him outside where he told me I didn't pay. I started laughing and asked him three times if he was joking with me. He then said "they say you got an oil change and didn't pay". I explained the history of my issues which are also detailed above. He then said he would go talk to the employees at Jiffy Lube and asked me to come by in a few minutes. When I arrived, the manager ([redacted]), the officer and I stood outside talking about what happened. It was evident that [redacted] was saying I asked for an oil change which according to the officer he didn't believe based on my detailed explanation. Further, my car was not due for an oil change until 95,500 (per the sticker) because I had an oil change at this Jiffy Lube in early June when I first discussed the brake pad issue. **The officer is completing a report which I will pickup at the end of the week. He did tell me he believed everything I was telling him and that they (the employees) were clearly lying to him. He even advised me to check that I have oil in my car because he was concerned they may have not truly done an oil change. I trust the report will outline the same. My request:At this point I do not trust any repairs to be performed by Jiffy Lube and will accept nothing less than reimbursement of my $204.18, especially after the events of today.Today's events was not miscommunication as [redacted] noted it, this was a plan concocted by the employees because they knew exactly who I was when I pulled into the lot. The officer stated he thought the same. I've gotten dozens and dozens of oil changes at this location over the years. If in fact I had "forgotten to pay" would the proper response be to call the customer? Because of the fact that they called the police, I find this only to support the truth of what the employees did today. They kept a resolved problem going and did so by playing games.  If my request is not satisfied I will be going to the local news station on [redacted] Dr in Cranston, I will also advise local politicians of this businesses actions such as Mayor [redacted] and Governor [redacted] who is very close with my uncle. My uncle is 4th in rank in the ** State Police. I will also be retaining Attorney [redacted] of [redacted] who also represents the NFL. He does work for my company and I've already made a call to his office this afternoon. At this point this back and forth is causing me nervousness and anxiety because I don't know if my vehicle is safe. I will be seeking damages of emotional distress at which point I will no longer accept reimbursement of the original cost of my brake pads. I trust I will be contacted by someone with authority to approve this and look forward to your timely response. [redacted] T. I have reviewed the response by Jiffy Lube and contest to them making an effort to "work with me" in fact as I mentioned in my written explanation, [redacted] used the phrase "there is nothing I can do for you" when I did not have my receipt. With regards to the proposed replacement of the pads, I have outlined the reasons I will not allow them to do any repairs to my vehicle. Further they advised I would have to pay $50 in labor charges for the new pads. I see that there is a mention of me not being able to provide a receipt. If I look again and can locate one is Jiffy Lube prepared to satisfy my reimbursement request or is the mention of this being used as an excuse to deny my request. Sounds like bad faith dealings to me.
