A-towing towed my elderly father's car from Burger King across from UAB Hospital's emergency room after employees told him it was ok to park there When my Dad called to check on his car, A-towing did not share that their facility was about to close for the evening We got there minutes after they closed and the gates were locked The next morning, we called to make sure they were open The gates were locked when we arrived and we had to wait minutes for them to open When we called to make sure they were open, they also did not share that they take cash only, or charge you an extra 5% over the $towing fee, to cover their credit card fees My Dad was going to be late for his doctors appointment, so we had to pay the fee
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN

A-Towing and Recovery service unlawfully towed my boyfriend's car from the Burger King across from UABHe parked, walked over to get me and we walked back to Burger King to have lunchThe car was GONEWe went in and asked the manager who he called to tow the car and he said he didn't call anyone then made the comment "That tow company comes in and tows people's cars all the time, I've had people in the bathroom and they come out and their cars goneThey got to stop towing people's cars from here" This came from the Burger King's manager! He gave me the number to the tow companyI called and the man said he towed the carI told him that he had just parked the car, came and got me and we were going to have lunchHis response was "If you aren't with your car, your car can't be there"I got upset and told him we live an hour away, how can he just take someone's car from the place we were having lunch at and he told me not to raise my voice at himHe said he'd text me where my car wasWithin a minute, I got the text that the car was miles away in a lot and that it would cost $to get it back if we paid cash or $if put on a credit/debit cardWe had to have family come and get us, drive to Tarrant to their lot and when we got there, the gaits were closed and no one was therewe had to wait 15-minutes before anyone showed upWhen someone finally showed up, he was rude and not helpful at allWhen we asked who authorized the tow of the vehicle, he said the manager at Burger King didI called the manager right then and he said absolutely not, he was the manager on duty and he did not call anyone to tow any cars, he never does and they tow them all the timeThe manager then gave me the phone # to call their district manager if neededThe tow truck driver said he did not tow our car and would not tell us the name of the driver that did, he basically was tripping all over his words and then said "I'm just the driver" I told him that I understand he's just doing his job, but that we needed to know who authorized the tow on our vehicle since we were right there and the store manager did not call to have it towedHe wouldn't give us any other infoWe had to pay the $to get the car back to avoid any storage chargesAs soon as we pulled out of the lot, it was very apparent that they damaged the alignmentthe steering wheel now has to be almost at a degree angle to the left in order for the car to go straight and it's pulling badly to the rightSo they unlawfully towed the car, damaged it in the process and would not give us any answers to the questions we asked and we STILL had to pay them $ This company is awful - just crooks
