The customer's accounts of what happened are vastly different from what my crew and I have experienced I spoke with the customer about some special tires for his vehicle that would best satisfy the weight of his vehicle There was only one tire that was available to meet his needs and the tires needed to be special ordered I told him I could have the tire transferred in at no charge but it would take up to two weeks or I could get him two day shipping for an additional shipping fee of $He told me to go ahead and ship them days and that he would gladly pay that feeHe also stated that he didn't need them in two days but he needed them sooner than the two week free shipping would be I ordered the tires for him The tires took business days to arrive We called the customer to let him know they had arrived and could not reach the customer We called a second time and left a message with his wife that the tires were here She said she would let him know We called a third time and left another message with his wife After this third message, the customer returned our call and said he didn't want the tires and got tires elsewhere At that time, I spoke with the customer and told him I would still have to charge him for the shipping that he requested I waived the $re-stock fee that would be a charge but could not waive the day shipping charge At this point the customer got angry with me and started attacking me verballyHe was using extreme profanity and calling me namesAt that point, I told him I was ending the conversation and hung up The next day I called the customer back to try to have a reasonable conversation with him and meet in the middle The conversation started out positiveI assured him that I completely understood where he was coming from but that I had talked to the owner and the owner did not feel responsible for the shipping charge that the customer had approved At that time the customer started verbally attacking me again with profanity and then starting attacking my character and education level He was also threating me and telling me he would "ruin and destroy" me I could not believe someone would talk to another human being this way when this man knows nothing about me or where I come from or what I have done in my life educationally or personally I told him again that I was ending the conversation and told him to have a nice day As for the "conversation" he had with my other salesman, it simply did not happen My employee would gladly attest to this and his statements that he has made The customer is becoming dangerously close to making me feel threatened, unsafe and slandered I would feel most comfortable if he did not contact me or slander my business any further

The customer's accounts of what happened are vastly different from what my crew and I have experienced.  I spoke with the customer about some special tires for his vehicle that would best satisfy the weight of his vehicle.  There was only one tire that was available to meet his needs...

and the tires needed to be special ordered.  I told him I could have the tire transferred in at no charge but it would take up to two weeks or I could get him two day shipping for an additional shipping fee of $100. He told me to go ahead and ship them 2 days and that he would gladly pay that fee. He also stated that he didn't need them in two days but he needed them sooner than the two week free shipping would be.  I ordered the tires for him.  The tires took 2 business days to arrive.  We called the customer to let him know they had arrived and could not reach the customer.  We called a second time and left a message with his wife that the tires were here.  She said she would let him know.  We called a third time and left another message with his wife.  After this third message, the customer returned our call and said he didn't want the tires and got tires elsewhere.  At that time, I spoke with the customer and told him I would still have to charge him for the shipping that he requested.  I waived the $50 re-stock fee that would be a normal charge but could not waive the 2 day shipping charge.  At this point the customer got angry with me and started attacking me verbally. He was using extreme profanity and calling me names. At that point, I told him I was ending the conversation and hung up.  The next day I called the customer back to try to have a reasonable conversation with him and meet in the middle.  The conversation started out positive. I assured him that I completely understood where he was coming from but that I had talked to the owner and the owner did not feel responsible for the shipping charge that the customer had approved.  At that time the customer started verbally attacking me again with profanity and then starting attacking my character and education level.  He was also threating me and telling me he would "ruin and destroy" me.  I could not believe someone would talk to another human being this way when this man knows nothing about me or where I come from or what I have done in my life educationally or personally.  I told him again that I was ending the conversation and told him to have a nice day.  As for the "conversation" he had with my other salesman, it simply did not happen.  My employee would gladly attest to this and his statements that he has made.  The customer is becoming dangerously close to making me feel threatened, unsafe and slandered.  I would feel most comfortable if he did not contact me or slander my business any further.

Mr. [redacted] came into the shop for a swap over on his tires. He then negotiated a price for lowering the vehicle and having front brakes, rotors and sensor wires done on his Porsche. He had agreed to the discounted price of $1500.00 for all the work.  [redacted] left the vehicle for two days as it...

took about 12 hours to complete. When [redacted] returned to pay his bill he immediately wasn't happy with the price and said he assumed that he was getting front and rear brakes. We never indicated that he needed rear brakes. We explained to him he was getting a "set" of brakes which in the industry is a per axle brake job. It is even listed that way on the parts invoice.  He made a scene in our store and threatened the staff before he took off refusing to pay his bill. We had to call the police and when the police got involved they told him he needed to return the shop to pay his bill or he would be immediately arrested. He wanted to only pay $1100 because somehow he came up with a number out of the sky that his brake job should only cost $400 for a Porsche which requires premium parts. The owner got involved and looked into the pricing and verified he was not overcharged and he was actually given a discount of $163.42.  [redacted] decided to come back later that evening and paid his bill. Following that, he decided to write reviews that have been slanderous in nature and go after the owner's son's personal real estate business page which has no relation. We have contacted our lawyers and will take action if any further slander continues. We have attached [redacted]'s invoice for his repairs. We have also attached another quote from another reputable repair shop in Beaverton for the exact same work that we performed that will show he was not overcharged for his repairs.  We have tried to explain to [redacted] that his repair costs were fair and even lower than what we would normally price this out for.[redacted] was never told he was getting front and rear brakes. I couldn't even buy parts at cost for that amount.  The invoice clearly states in the notes section that is rear brakes have plenty of life on them and didn't need replacement. If you see the other shop's quote they have just the lowering labor at 11 hours which would be  $1199. We only charged 7 hours ($763) to try to make the deal to earn the customer's business. We have done everything we could to make a happy customer. We encourage the customer to do a bit more homework and find out what parts and labor really costs on this particular job. We only did it for this discounted price because our shop was slow those couple days. We couldn't have imagined the aftermath of this customer after doing the job for almost or less than cost.  The other shop has this exact job listed for around $2500 if you see page 2 of their quote.  I'm confident any shop that is using the same parts would be much higher than what we did this job for. Thank you,Jim Bacon's Tire Pros & Auto Service
