In July of 2016 we made service call to customer's house and added Freon to unit and service & cleaned unit. At that time the customer stated that the unit was installed by another contractor and that contractor was not allowed back on his property. The on 11/7/16 they called stated unit was...

under warranty. We told him that we are not an authorized by Nordine to do their warranty work and didn't know of anyone in the area that was. He was also informed that we could do the work but he would have to pay for it and then take it up with Nordine. We went to do the service call and found a bad control board and bad relays. We then called our supplier to get a price of the parts and called [redacted] to let him know and get his approval before we ordered the parts. He approved the cost of the parts for $190. On 11/28/16 we received parts and made trip to house to install - the unit was running fine when our tech left. on 12/2/16 [redacted] called at 4:45 p.m. (closing time) - we sent tech back & tech found the board burnt - tech returned to office and left paper work on [redacted]'s (co-owner) desk. When [redacted] returned to the office from another service call at 7 p.m. he called and talked to [redacted]'s wife [redacted]. He asked if they needed temporary heat as we could not done anything after 5 on a Friday and would have to get back with them on Monday. [redacted] became irrational and disrespectful and state we should have called her back sooner. We still have original control board that was taken off the first time. He can pick up board when the bill is paid.
