Review: I used this company to move to my new house on Merrick, Long Island. The [redacted], damaged a piece of my furniture. He promised to have my furniture either fixed or if it could not be fixed, he would have it replaced. He never got back to us after he told us to follow up with him. When my wife followed up, he said to give him an additional two weeks. We then called and he was unprofessional and nasty toward my wife. He also hung up on my wife after he said he would have it to us again in another two weeks. I called him today, 11/**/14 to call him and kindly ask him when we can expect our piece of furniture. The [redacted] said he is taking the furniture tomorrow to get repaired(same thing he has been telling my wife for over a month). I told him that this has been the same thing he has been telling my wife. He than told me I am annoying, would not let me speak, and hung up on me. I called right back and he would not answer. I moved two months ago. Your support and assistance is appreciated. If you go to this company [redacted] page, you will notice this is not the first time this has happened to his customers. There is another similar complaint. He is extremely rude and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: All I want is for the [redacted] of this company to keep his promise and that is to repair and delivery the piece of furniture he damaged. I would at least like a definite expected date to receive my furniture. That is all I ask.

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Jim Brady Moving, Inc. has been resolved, however he still was not professional. He dropped off the furniture on my front stoop without notice. He glued the granite of the furniture he broke, but I still had to glue and place it back on myself. I sold my bedroom set to a woman and told her that I would find a local moving company that she can use. After finding this company online, I called and spoke to the owner. His initial price was very high but then after some negotiation we found a price that we verbally agreed on. Fast forward a couple days, the buyer schedule the move and met Jim Brady at the house where a family friend was staying since I couldn't be there for the move. After Jim Brady loaded the furniture on his truck he demanded the money which was $50 higher than the agreed upon price. Upon the buyer confronting him of the price increase he began to scream at the woman (buyer) along with my family friend. My family friend called my wife and told her what was happening at which point he ripped the phone out of her hand and continued to scream profanity at my wife about how they wouldn't pay him the extra $50 (which for some reason he thought was the agreed upon price). He continued to yell at my wife and threatened to throw the furniture out of the truck and leave it in the front yard. Finally the buyer paid him the extra money and he completed the job. This display of abusive behavior not only scared my wife on the phone but the buyer and my family friend who feared for their safety. I would not suggest this business to anyone. Not only did he verbally abuse three woman but he bullied them into paying more money. I wish I knew of the situation as it was happening because I would have had a chance to take control.
