This issue was resolved in June of I went back to the job site after having both insurance companies review the damages which were caused as a result of excessive freezing and a natural spring located in the hillside in which the basement was builtThe damage was not a result of poor construction as noted by both inspectorsA temporary repair was made at the time of the complaint stating that it would have to be springtime, when the ground thawed, when the permanent repairs were madeThe customer was informed that the repairs were temporary until they could be dealt with properly in the Spring/SummerThe permanent repairs were made, resulting in a much nicer pool house than was originally budgeted or paid forThere was no way that this amount of work could have been done in four weeks and I never lead the customer to believe it would be completed within four weeks All of the additional problems, that were out of my control and due to seasonal weather issues, were made at my expense and totaled over $9,Anything resulting in over budget charges, prior to the weather damages, were due to the customer making changes and upgrades to the plans during constructionThe length and amount of the job was largely due to wet weather and a wet slope not allowing us to complete necessary concrete and masonry My bid was $45,They requested trying to stay around $38,We came in just over my original bid even with their changes and modifications, including a shower being added to the bathroomTo built the pool house and storage area, I was given a photograph and a sheet of notebook paper with a sketch In years of being in the construction business, working with over customers a year, this is the only complaint I've ever received [redacted] ***Jim Cassidy Construction%

construction as noted by both inspectors. A temporary repair was made at the time of the complaint stating that it would have to be springtime, when the ground thawed, when the permanent repairs were made. The customer was informed that the repairs were temporary until they could be dealt with properly in the Spring/Summer. The permanent repairs were made, resulting in a much nicer pool house than was originally budgeted or paid for. There was no way that this amount of work could have been done in four weeks and I never lead the customer to believe it would be completed within four weeks.
All of the additional problems, that were out of my control and due to seasonal weather issues, were made at my expense and totaled over $9,000.00. Anything resulting in over budget charges, prior to the weather damages, were due to the customer making changes and upgrades to the plans during construction. The length and amount of the job was largely due to wet weather and a wet slope not allowing us to complete necessary concrete and masonry.
My bid was $45,000.00. They requested trying to stay around $38,000.00. We came in just over my original bid even with their changes and modifications, including a shower being added to the bathroom. To built the pool house and storage area, I was given a photograph and a sheet of notebook paper with a sketch.
In 14 years of being in the construction business, working with over 200 customers a year, this is the only complaint I've ever received.
