I am responding to a complaint I received in the mail yesterday concerning [redacted]. According to our records; [redacted] finished her didactic class on 3-9-17 and started her externship at [redacted] Medical Center on 3-13-17. The student completed 73 hours in 3 weeks. We...
then received a call from the site manager stating that they did not want [redacted] at [redacted] any longer due to her unpleasant manner; they had told her multiple times to smile, etc., plus she showed little interest in learning, she had not grasped the flow of the clinic and she was not taking initiative to learn or do anything (all of which we have in writing from the site). Unfortunately we had to find another site for [redacted], we had set up an interview for her, but she refused. She can certainly re-enter her program, complete her externship (however, she will have to amend the behaviors she exhibited at [redacted]) and graduate from her program. We are reaching out to her to contact us to set up a re-entry meeting. Follow up to our above response: We just reached [redacted] to see if we could arrange her re-entry and also arrange for her to finish her externship hours. [redacted] had her baby in June and states that she would like to finish the externship but she needs to find a babysitter, she told us that she will contact us when she finds a babysitter.
