Dear Mrs***, First of all let me apologize for the anguish this has cause you. At Jim Dorsey & Son, we try hard to make every customer happy every day from our beginnings back in and it upsets me that you are unhappy. I have investigated your claims and here is what I
found out:1. The water heater we installed in 2014, has a warrantee date that starts when we installed the water heater not when it was manufactured. My dispatcher *** informed you of this when you called in for the leak on 3/15/and we responded between & 9am. That leak incidentally was from a leaking t&p relief valve (an ancillary and necessary device on the water heater). Unfortunately the labor part of the repair was not under warrantee but we were able to warrantee the part for you.2. On 3/17/@ 9:23am you called for no hot water and we responded at 10:45. Our technician found that pilot was out due to the flame sensor and screen were dirty. Our technician *** states when he told you that you stated you were cleaning around the water heater which is probably how the dust got sucked into the pilot assembly and screen of the water heater. The new units water heaters have what they call flame guard technology to prevent explosions due to flammable vapors possibly getting sucked into the water heater. This was a government instituted regulation and the water heater are now a little finicky. My findings indicate that this was a chargeable service call.In closing I would like to again apologize for any misunderstanding pertaining to this service call and also WAIVE the last invoice charge that you put a stop payment on.
