timed. our diesel technician timed pump as per customer request but notified customer of possible injection pump failure and history dtc code pstating injection pump timimg code.notified customer we could not verify nor further diagnose pump concern due to aftermarket performance module attached to fuel driver module hampering the communication from gm diagnostic toolsalso notified customer about part warranty and that time and mileage has been exceeded for the warrantycustomer contacted gm about the warranty as well no assistance in the warranty by gm due to the aftermarket performasnce chip attached the pumps injector driver moduleI visited with mrs *** about the warranty time, aftermarket products installed, and the history code pshe then refered me to her son who drives the truck*** *** contacted me by phone and we discussed the above mentioned concernshe was aware of the history code pthat's why he brought the vehicle in for timing and the after market performance chip he installed himself and that we could not diagnose the vehicle further due to thatalso if in fact the warranty was still in effect it would be voided by the aftermarket performance chip he installed*** *** admitted his mom did not know the modification he had made to the injector pump and I asked him if he would please explain what he has done to his mom and why there is no warranty and why we cannot diagnose vehicle, he said he would.if pump has actually failed it would be because of aftermarket performance chip attached to it increasing its performance beyond the limits it was designed for*** did not do a lousy jobwe set the pump timing the customer asked us to set, unfortunately the customer had additional issues they were hoping asking us to set timing would correct
