Review: I brought my jacket (which was cleaned before a couple times) to be cleaned. One week later I couldnt take it back because it looked like untouched- dirty as before at the collar from my neck. I was politely told that they will consult with their [redacted] and dry clean again. In a week, I found out that all the lining of my jacket instead of a white/light sand color became sort of black. Again, I was politely told that they will consult with their [redacted] and dry clean again. When I came a week later again, my jacket was hanging near the reception even uncovered; the lady couldnt find it until I pointed at it by myself. And I dont think that something was done. The lining was still black. Again, I was politely told that they will consult with their [redacted] and dry clean again. So, it has been 5 weeks now with no progress for a jacket that has been in cleaning before coming out as new. I dont think its a right way to run the business in terms of its quality and duration, and therefore, I want to bring this situation to your attention, and help with resolution.Desired Settlement: I want my jacket to be cleaned having no black lining

As you can see in the complaint we try to take responsibility for problematic garments rather than turn customers away. Over the past couple of years, the process of dry cleaning, which is not understood by most people, has changed significantly due to environmental regulations. This was a problematic garment given the solvents that are available now.
This business has been satisfying the customers of the Upper Eastside for over 80 years.
We were able to satisfy and settle this complaint with the customer.
As a consumer tip, when purchasing garments be aware of how a garment can be cleaned. Red flags, these days, include beaded, vinyl and leather trim and garments with white and a high contrast color. Not only are they a problem to clean, it will cost you more to clean as well.
