Response: Our Company did respond to Mr. [redacted] call for service on 23, February. Mr. [redacted] asked our plumber to replace his toilet and was given an accurate price of 646.44, as invoiced. Mr. [redacted] also asked our plumber to unstop his kitchen sink. He was told that the additional cost may vary...

depending on what has to be done. Mr. [redacted] was in a hurry to leave the house, just left a credit card and expected our plumber to complete the tasks. Upon removing the old toilet our plumber discovered that the floor flange under the toilet was broken. He attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] without success. Knowing that Mr. [redacted] wanted the job completed, he proceeded to replace the broken brass flange. Normally the charge for this is $332.27, but since our plumber was able to complete the additional task without major difficulty, he used a lower charge of $165.82. (a savings of $166.45). After completing the toilet installation, our plumber climbed onto the roof with his equipment and ran a cable down the vent pipe to unstop the kitchen sink, a charge of $145.00.  When Mr. [redacted] called me the next [redacted], he only remembered being told the price of the toilet and installation of $650, and felt that anything else should have been included. I tried to explain about the floor flange and he just said that we were dishonest in charging for extra work.  In conclusion; It is regrettable that our business with Mr. [redacted] has ended on a sour note. However, we did perform an honest job for him which was charged accordingly and we do not see that any refund is warranted.
