Jim Thorpe Camping Resort

Review: My friends and I rented two cabins for Labor Day weekend 2014 at this camping resort. We are from Delaware and were not able to check into our cabins until around 9:00pm on 8-29-14 because of work obligations and traffic. Upon checking in we were given our keys and map of the area to camp. We settled into our cabins and started our camp fire to cook food since we had just finished with a long trip. We continued to enjoy the campfire and food we had just cooked over the fire. We continued to have conversations throughout the night with no music playing or loud yelling. We all returned to our cabins and went to sleep for the night.

Upon awakening the next morning (8-30-14) we were greeted by the person we assumed was the owner while we were preparing our breakfast at 7:00am. He asked "did you boys enjoy yourselves last night?" to which we responded yes. He then stated "well that's good because that was your last night here you're getting **WORD REJECTED[redacted]. He proceeded to make some story up about how we had been up and making noises and what he stated "raising [redacted]" the whole night until 3:30 in the morning. He said that we had until 8:00am that morning to get packed up and leave before he would call the police. He used the accounts of a worker he had riding around the campgrounds that reported to him we had been making too much noise after the stated quite hours. Throughout his explanation he continually used profanity and did not give further explanation into the complaints his worker had reported to him. We tried to make sense of the situation with the owner as we had not received a single complaint from any other campers that were near us or employees of the campground about our noise level. Anytime we tried to reason with the owner he kept repeating what the quiet hours were and using profanities.

At this time we realized it was a lost cause to try and reason with the owner and asked to have our money back for the remaining stay (we had to book a 3 night stay because of the holiday weekend). He declined multiple requests of the accommodation and said because we broke the quiet hours that he had the right to keep our remaining money for the extra two nights. Again realizing that this man can not carry a civilized conversation we finished our packing. While packing, one of my friends had to use the restroom, he proceeded to walk to the bathhouse. Upon getting the door the owner blocked the doorway and stated my friend was unable to use the restroom because of the situation.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund of the final two nights of our stay that we were not able to complete.
