Review: I originally called this location on 1/17/13 and spoke to [redacted]. I explained the issue with my car (transmission died). He told me that they could tow the car to their location for no charge and complete the diagnosis. I gave him my info and he arranged to have the car picked up the next morning, 1/18/13. [redacted] called me whhen they were about to pick up the car and told me once they had it in and diagnosed, he would call me. I had to call a few times that day, but I finally spoke to [redacted] and he advised that they diagnosed my car and the issues was some electrical issues with the transmission. He quoted me 2 prices, $1600 and $2100 and explained that it would be the same repairs, but different warranty times (90 days vs. 1 year). He told me that if I went with the less expensive amount, I would have 90 days to pay the additional amount to extend the warranty. I chose the $1600 option and explained to him that I would not have the full amount for the repair for at least 2 weeks. He said that was OK and they would complete the repairs and not charge me any additional storage fees. I was very happy about that and really felt like this was going to be a good experience and they were really trying to help me out as a customer. [redacted] told me that they would just need $500 as a down payment to start the repair and he even came to pick up the cash from my home on 1/19/13 and gave me a reciept showing that my total came to $1728 with the taxes. I called on 1/26/13 and made another $500 ove the phone with my debit card. [redacted] asked when I would be ready to get the car and I told him hopefully by the next Saturday, 2/2. He told me the car would be ready. I called on Saturday and spoke to [redacted] to let him know that I woud not be able to get the car until Tuesday, 2/5/13. [redacted] told me that was fine and the car would be ready. I had no reason to doubt that my car would be completed since it had been there for 2 weeks. I called the morning of 2/5 and asked what time I could come get the car and [redacted] told me to call him around 1pm. I called at that time and [redacted] then told me that it would not be ready until about 5.I told him that I had class that night at 5:15pm so I needed to pick it up before then. He then told me to come at 4. I left work and arrived at the shop at 3:50pm. [redacted] told me that they were finishing up and I would be out of there shortly. He then came to me and asked for money because my car had no gas! I gave him $7 or $8 and told him I would fill it up when I left. Needless to say I did not get out of there until almost 6pm and [redacted] told me that the pressure still had to be set on the car, so I would have to bring it back the next day! I was in shock when he told me this would take about 5 hours! I asked if the car was OK to drive home and he said yes. I paid the balance, $728 and left. When I got in the car, I noticed that there was a light on in the console that was not on when they picked up the car (Advancetrak symbol). I just ignored it because of the time and I needed to get back to work. I noticed that the car was revving hard, but I assumed that had something to do with the pressure issue. I got to work and tried to park, but the car would not reverse!!!!! I was horrified! I called the shop and [redacted] answered. I told him what was going on with the car and he said he could come tow it in the morning. I told him that I coild not leave my car on the street because ut was meter parking and I would get a ticket. I almost started crying. [redacted] kept saying that he did not know what could have happened and the car should have been checked. After 4 or 5 tries putting the car in reverse, it finally worked. I parked, went into work to gather my things and proceeded home. I took I76, and that is when I noticed that my car would not go over 40MPH, on an EXPRESSWAY! I was terrified because people were on my tail and I was even scared to try to change lanes. I finally made it home and my hands were actually shaking when I got out of the car. The next morning, I drove he car back to the shop and it actually took me an hour to get there when it should have taken half that time. I was too scared to go over 35 and actually drove with my hazard lights on because I did not know what was going to happen with the car. When I got there at 8am, I spoke to [redacted] to tell him everything that happened. He told me [redacted] was due to come in soon and he would have him call me. I went to work and waited. After a few hours, I called and [redacted] told me that they were working on it. That has been the same excuse I have heard since then. The transmission has been taken back out at least 4 times! They have told me the issue has been everything from the valve body to clutches. First it was an issue with the 3rd gear, now it's the 4th. Every time they test drive it, [redacted], [redacted] or [redacted] tells me that whatever they tried didn't work. [redacted] offered to REIMBURSE me for a rental, but I am not in the financial position to do that, nor do I trust them. And I do not believe this is something I should have to pay for out of my pocket when I am the one being affected. I have complained on the [redacted] website. A 'customer relations' rep contacted me, but she has been of no assistance either and has not followed up with me since 2/19/13. Today is 2/23/13 and I still do not have my vehicle. I have complained to [redacted] on several occasions. He assured me as recently as 2/19/13 that the car would be ready the next day and he would personally bring it to me. I have left several messages for him to call me and he hasn't. He is ignoring my calls to his cell phone at this point, because I had my boyfriend call and he answered because he did not recognize his number! This should not be how a business owner of a major franchise acts. I have been taking public transportation and catching cabs on the days when it is too cold or the nights when I have class. This location does NOT provide good customer service because I ALWAYS have to make the calls to see what is going on with my car and the people there could care less about resolving issues to the benefit of the customer. It is almost March and I can't be without my car much longer! My numerous calls, questions and complaints have netted me nothing but excuses and I have had it!Desired Settlement: At this point, I want the repair completed ASAP even if they have to take it to another [redacted]. If the repair is going to take even more time, I want to be provided with a rental vehicle, at no cost to me. I want a refund for the extent of time it has taken as well as an extended warranty at NO additonal cost to me. I also want an apology letter from the corporation.
