I reviewed Ms ***'s last service visit.Our records indicate she was here on March 21st 2016.I show no other visit's to Jim Trenary Chevrolet in O'Fallon since that time.On March 21st 2016:Ms *** stated the check engine light was on and the DEF light was on stating "DEF Quality Poor"We
estimated a diagnostic fee of $for testing ,GM Fluid and labor to drain and refill the tank (plus tax)Ms *** declined the repair and stated she would have another location perform repairs and was contacting an attorney.No work was done, no diagnostic was done (per the customer's declination of work)We could offer a $service coupon off parts and labor to help Ms *** pay for the diagnostic on the vehicle

Regarding *** *** Vin# *** Ms *** did purchase this vehicle, After purchase she did contact us stating the vehicle Blue tooth quality was not to her expectationsShe took it to another dealer closer to her home, who could not Isolate any issue I had her
bring the vehicle to us We could not identify any issueIn order to try to make the customer happy, We did Replaced the radio unit at no charge Detailed her vehicle and filled up her gas tank for driving to our location Ms *** still says she is having an issue She came to our location again, our service department investigated issue, Found radio and Bluetooth operating with in factory specifications

When the customer brought the vehicle in they were told that if the problem could not be duplicated, since they informed us it was very intermittent, there would be a $100 diagnostic...

fee. At the time of write up both Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were present, agreed to the diagnosis and Mrs. [redacted] signed the repair order acknowledging the $100 diagnosis fee. When Mr [redacted] picked the vehicle up he refused to pay the diagnostic fee. I showed his wife's signature indicating that there would be a fee. The customer asked if he paid the diagnostic fee and took it to a second party and if the second party could find the problem, would we be willing to reimburse the diagnostic fee. I said we would reimburse the fee if the second party could verify the problem. At that point Mr [redacted] paid the diagnostic fee and left.
