We told the customer we couldn't quote exact hours it would take to install the mounting bracket, because every vehicle is different. This particular vehicle was the hardest one to do and it took the most time of any we have done. It took two men working steady with a combined
time of hours. We charged the customer for hours and she didn't think it was fair for us to charge her for the 2nd man working on the job. Her husband told us that he needed it by that night and the only way we could get it done in that time frame was to put service men on the job. I am rejecting this response because: We were quoted a charge of $per hour and we're told it would take to hours to do the jobNo time limit was given to him other than we needed the job done by Sept 4th which was days later and is written on the invoiceSince he told us it would take to hours we called for status after four hours and was told it was a harder job than thought but it would be ready by the end if the dayWe told him that it was our only vehicle and if not we needed to know and we're told not to worryWe were not told at that time that the rate was double nor that any extra men were put on the jobOur vehicle was taken to him at in the morning and we were called at 3:and told the vehicle was ready that is really only hours that the vehicle was in his possession and I guess no one took a lunch break and he knew from the beginning he needed two people on the job This was never communicated to us nor were we told any of this until we picked up our vehicleHis shop is only open from to on this day so why did he schedule it on a day that he is only open hours if he knew this and why were we not told of additional charges when we called about statusThis was deception on his part in our opinion
