The day of the accident 1/24/the weather was very bad, we had a snow stormThe policeofficers will not wait for another company to come and pick up a vehicle, as they need to clear the roadsto prevent other accidentsThe vehicle that was towed for Mr [redacted] was uninsured as per theNYSDMV computerHad he had insurance, they would have taken care of these chargesPlease see theattached copy of the tow slip we received from the [redacted] Sheriff's.We were called by the [redacted] Sheriff's for a vehicle involved in a motor vehicleaccidentWe winched the vehicle back up on to the road and towed it back to our storage lotOur drivertook the owner of the vehicle to his homeWe offered to drop his vehicle there, but he didn't have themoney to pay for the chargesThe charges that are due are $for the tow, $for the winchand $a day storageThe owner was very understanding of this, and told our driver he would be upthe following day to take care of the charges, and retrieve his vehicleWe never heard from the ownerfor a week and a half, to two weeksAfter business days, we are required by law to send out a letter tothe owner stating where their vehicle is and the charges dueThe letter fee is $20.00.Sadly, yes one of the girls in the office did tell him to "Shut up, and listen" after she tried veryhardtop explain to him what was going on, but he just kept yelling and talking over top of her.We have talked to the officer that had the vehicle towed, his vehicle was uninsured at the timeof being towedThe officer gave him a break, because the weather and dealing with numerous accidentson the roadWe spoke to the [redacted] sheriffs on 2/15/they ran the plate of this vehi.cle, andit was still uninsuredIf you need to verify this, you can call the sheriff's office at [redacted] and askfor a captain, or sergeantThey will verify thisThe Plate number is New York State- [redacted] .The owner of the vehicle called us on 2/16/to see if he could set up a payment plan, so he can havehis vehicle back to go back and forth from work.Sincerely,??Jim's ServiceJames [redacted] ***
