with your company in November. The client in reference had our company come out due to a termite issue on her property. According to state guidelines, the first termite trail that we treated fell within the guidelines of qualifying for a spot treatment, which is allowed according to the state regulations of there is no other activity outside of 20 Lnft. Our technician that met with this client gave her the option of a full treatment or a spot treatment, again since it did meet the state requirements and qualified for a spot treatment. This client opted for a spot treatment to save money because she said she didn't have the funds for a full treatment due to past hardships in her family and a divorce that left her financially devastated. She requested a warranty with her spot treatment, which our company does offer. She purchased the one year warranty which warrantied her home in such a way that if she had further termite activity, our company, Jiminey Kricket would treat the affected area with a spot treatment only of the affected area where the active termites were present. She did have reoccurring termites in more than one area on multiple occasions. With termites, there is no way for us to actually tell where in the foundation or walls that the actual problem stems from. Treating the affected area will take care of that active termite trail, but will not guarantee in any way that the termites will not come back. Our warranty covers affected areas only. We did our best to handle each and every reoccurring termite issue in a timely manner. Our clients warranty renewal was $175.00 until she wanted her separate garage covered, which is on one acre of land. The separate garage that she wanted covered under the warranty as well, brought the termite renewal to $225.00 a year. Our termite renewals are sent out 30-45 days before a warranty expires, to ensure that our clients have adequate time to respond and renew their warranties, if desired. Unfortunately, this client was out of town, as she stated for an extended period of time and failed to renew her warranty in time and her warranty expired. After this clients warranty expired, we decided that it was in the best interest of both parties to separate the business relationship. The client stated that she had an attorney and had every intention of suing our company for damage to her property and emotional distress, along with quite a bit of yelling and foul language towards our employees. We have documented voicemails with the threats and language saved for our own documentation. This is why Laura did not schedule for James to go out to her property. Originally, the owner of Jiminey Kricket had intentions of treating the affected termites again and offering her to renew her warranty once again. However, once the threats of suing our company started, the owner spoke with this clients boyfriend, who was also a very happy, previous client of ours that relocated to another state, and just explained to him our position and let him know that after her threats of lawyers and lawsuits, we needed to part ways and her seek out another company to handle her termite issues. We reserve the right to discontinue service to any client if our staff is being mistreated, sworn at and being talked down upon because the client isn't getting the answers that they want. Again, we treated each area of active termites while this customer was under warranty with our company and we fulfilled our part of the contract. Our company is not obligated to do a full treatment on any home for free. If this client was tired of the reoccurring termites, she easily could have requested a full treatment and we would have pro-rated the remainder of her warranty towards the cost of the full termite treatment. If you need any further action from us, please feel free to contact us.Thank you.And I apologize this response is later than the 7 day period, due to the holiday, we did not receive this letter until the 29th of November.Thank you,Tabitha
