Mr*** contacted us 4/16/for a non-emergency callHe had a
broken windowOur technician, ***, spoke with Mr*** to make
arrangements for him to go get the proper measurement of the window in
question*** made Mr*** aware that this job was COD as it is a factory
orderMr*** asked *** for an estimate, to which *** ball parked around
$The window was custom and had to be factory ordered since it was dual
panedOnce *** got the exact measurements and placed the order with the
factory, it came back that the window was a little more than he had guessed
originallyThe glass came in and *** scheduled the installation for 5/5/
Once the installation was complete, we were not paidWe then had
to process an invoice and send it outOur standard practice is to give a 1/
discount for COD jobsWe graciously gave Mr*** weeks to pay his invoice
with the 1/discount, even though he did not pay COD like discussedContrary
to the complaint that was filed, we were not aware that Mr*** was out of
the countryIt was never brought upIf it were, we would have requested a
credit card payment over the phone
We received Mr***’s check in the mail 5/21/and accepted it
without hesitationWe would like to clear up the reason Mr***’s check was
not deposited the same day we received his checkWe prefer to get several
checks and deposit them all at onceIt helps save on time, gas and trips to
the bankOtherwise, we could be at the bank daily
Mr*** called 6/3/*Please see attached copy of Mr
***’s call to the answering serviceI (*** ***) am the only one who
handles invoicing questions here in the officeUnfortunately I was out of the
office that dayI called Mr*** promptly the next morning when I got into
the officeWhen I spoke with Mr*** on the phone, he was pleasant and just
wanted to know if we had received his check because he noticed it was not
cashed yetI assured him that everything was okay and explained the way we
handle our depositsHe was happy to hear that and told me to have a great day
At no point did Mr*** notify me that he was upset with our company, nor
did he notify me that he had or was going to file a complaint against up with
the Revdex.com
The following morning 6/5/I received an email from Mr***
stating that he had filed a complaint against us with the Revdex.com but was
withdrawing his complaint and the matter was closed*Please see Mr***’s
attached email
I am requesting that we can have this complaint removed and not
show up on our Revdex.com reviews as Mr*** was simply retaliating against
Jimmie’s Glass dba Hour Emergency Glass for not cashing his check quick
enough for his liking
