I ordered food to my house. They didn't drop off the cookie or the chips. I called them immediately afterwards and said they forgot it. I let them know we were leaving and that I could come to the store to pick it up. I drove to the store. When I got to the store I called them. I waited for 5 minutes. In that time two employees walked out, climbed in their cars and left. I finally left. I called the store and asked for the area managers phone number and they refused to give it to me.
The customer is correct that we forgot the cookie and chips on the delivery order. He came back to the store and it was during shift change and we broke down in communication between managers and so the pm manager was unhelpful. We make mistakes but not getting the customer what they ordered and paid for is not acceptable to us. The customer left a yelp review and our Area Manager immediately called the customer and was unable to get in contact. The customer also sent a complaint in to our corporate office on May 7 and the Area Manager called him again that same day and left a voicemail. We emailed the customer letting him know we were voiding the entire order of $30+ to make up for our errors. We have also retrained the managers in the restaurant on how to properly handle customer complaints and to notify the Area Manager immediately so the Area Manager could get in contact with the customer.
