Jimmy's Hardwood Flooring, Inc.

I would like to take this time to write a review for Jimmy's Hardwood Floors. I'm usually not one to write a positive review, however, I am quick to write a negative review. I was having a new kitchen installed and wanted to get an estimate on flooring. I had Jimmy come to my house last spring to give me an estimate to have some tile floors pulled out, and have new wood floors woven into existing wood floors. I also needed all of the existing floors sanded and wanted all the floors stained so that they look like they were all installed at the same time. I had several estimates done, and reluctantly went with a big company that had an "INC" at the end of their name. This was not a wise decision on my part. That company came and took four days to do my floors. They left a pile of garbage in the front of my house that I needed to get rid of myself. I almost had to take them to court because of the horrendous job they did on my floors. I am not allowed to name them unfortunately because they were very quick to discuss litigation. I received numerous threats from them regarding a review I wrote about them, even though all I wrote about was my experience. When my installers came for the kitchen, I put down brown paper and blue painters tape that's it safe for wood floors. The next day when I pulled up the paper and the tape, the finish came off the floor and I had stripes all over the room. I called the other company and they blamed it on me, and said that I did not wait long enough to put the tape down, and it should not have been on the floor. They said I should have waited 30 days. I waited 3 months. I had Jimmy come back and look at the job, and he was nice enough to say "no hard feelings. I'll fix the job if you want me to". He came back the next week, and he sanded all my floors again, and stained them the color that I originally wanted. After seeing the job that Jimmy did, the original floor color was not even close to what it was supposed to be. I used an oil based polyurethane. The job came out beautiful. Everyone that saw it said it was so much better than the original job. Jimmy and his worker were on time every day, they were clean and neat and very polite. I would recommend this company, and have already done so, to anyone who is interested in getting any hardwood flooring done. I would like to finish by saying that I can be very difficult to please, and do not like when I have to have any contractors coming to my house to do any work. I always go into the job expecting something to go wrong unfortunately due to past experiences. My experience with Jimmy's hardwood floors was a very pleasant one, and if I need to have any flooring done again in the future he will definitely be the one I call.
