Jim's Coin Service Reviews (2)

Mr. [redacted] only gave half of the facts.  He was given a full refund of his purchase price.  He was asking for the money he spent trying to get a coin graded by a 3rd party.  If they agree with my grade the coin he paid $500 for would...

have been worth $2500.  The 3rd party grading service is very strict.  Case closed.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Unfortunately, this business owner is totally missing the point and mistating the facts. First of all, I was not given a full refund. My shipping was not refunded and neither was the $100 I spent on the certification. In addition, I had another winning bid that I had not yet paid for. I cancelled this bid once I had found that the owner of this business was misgrading coins and refusing to replace them. This business owner deducted that bid of $240 from the $700 in coins that I returned and sent a check for the balance along with the coin from the cancelled bid.
His statement that I paid $500 for a coin that would have been worth $2500 if the grading service agreed with his grading is totally irrelevant. Coins are purchased based on the advertised grade. When a dealer advertises a coin to be a specific grade then thats what it is supposed to be. He would make a great car salesman, trying to justify selling a used car as new!
Further, he states that third party grading is very strict. It is accurate and accepted by all REPUTABLE dealers. This owner is attempting to discount these grading services , yet, he is a member of one!! His closing statement "CASE CLOSED" shows that he is not an honest respectable businessman and thinks this issue will go away. I assure you that it will not.
Regards,
