To  whom it may concern:They returned $25 to me, I had paid the full amount of one hundred so they gave me the twenty five back  which is outrageous. thank you, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The remaining balance  of $3999.25 owed to Merrifield Garden is for a different work project in September of 2014. The money owed has nothing to do with the poor lightning system guaranteed by the MGC contract.  The work for the lights was paid in full in March 2014. The lighting system never worked correctly and has been an ongoing issue. MGC sent their technician out many times and they still couldn't correct the problem. We informed them over and over.  I don't think they knew why the system kept failing. To this day, the system is not working.  We have paid MGC more than $60,000.00 in 2013 and 2014 for landscaping and lighting therefore it's not that we just don't want to pay a bill.  We feel if we pay this we will never resolve our issues as consumers.  We only worked with MGC's designer, Ms. Sharon Ross, and she was the sales person as well as the coordinator for this ongoing problem. We also had trees planted by MGC that were dead and dying that were supposedly guaranteed but were never replaced.  Since we spent a lot of our time in Europe, we just paid our gardener to remove the dead bushes and plants as well.  He also had to remove a rock wall that was breaking up from the work contract in September that we have paid half for as the down payment.  The remaining balance is now used by MGC to refuse to fix the failed lightning system.   We also noticed that we were charged and paid in full for a full day of (8 hrs) work labor cost when their workers showed up at 9am and left at 2pm. We did not make a big issue out of this unsatisfactory service provided by MGC.  We are not refusing the remaining small balance owed to MGC for this other minor work.  We just feel that once they get the payment, we may never have anything corrected.  We no longer trust MGC and their empty promises, we request that they remove all the bad lightning systems poorly installed and demand a full refund.  We are selling our home and can not pass on the failed lightning system to the new buyers.  They will have the right to demand that the lights are working properly and I don't think we will ever be able to get them to work.  I would not recommend MGC to  our friends or anyone looking to improve their landscaping.Regards,
