My family and I are very pleased with the books we purchased! They are terrific references for the entire family for years to come. Shane was professional and enjoyable. He took the time show us how to navigate the online subscription as well.

Southwestern changed my life!

Terry P[redacted] was our sales representative. With an infectious smile and respectful approach, Terry conducted himself in a professional manner. He is the type of person that you want to rally around. If I were a business owner, I would hire him in a heartbeat!

My husband was working in the garage with the salesgirl came to the house. From the way she talked he assumed I was expecting her to visit. She came in and started telling me she was there to review some early childhood information. I then asked who she was to which she responded "What, you don't know me? You haven't see me on [redacted]". I was never provided a good explanation of what she was doing in my home or who she worked for. She just kept saying she wanted to review some material with me. I told her I wasn't interested. She then pulled out a form with personal information including children's names and ages of those in town. This is a huge problem for me. I would not want anyone sharing information about my family or my children with others I do not know. I again told her I wasn't interested and asked her to leave. Very odd and unsettling experience at 8pm at night.

The sales person was very polite and curtious. She never pushed the company's product on me. I am well pleased at quick the company is with shipping of their product.

I have had to call the police on this company. I placed an order. The books were for a birthday present for my grandson. When they did not contact me about any delay or deliver on the promised date they not only refuse a refund they showed up at my door three weeks later with books in a tub. Not in a new box. Used books and refused to leave my property. Our city requires a permit for door to door to sales which the girl did not have. She lied about saying a police officer gave her permission to violate the city ordinance and permission to be on my property. The police officer she named called her himself and told her not to contact me again in any way and stay off my property. They are thieves and liars.

Pretty happy with South Western. If you use the tools that are given to you, There will be results. My 2 year old twins are well versed in their colors, shapes and know a wide range of animals. They are ahead in many areas because my husband and I have made it important to sit down and go through the books with them. Boys also love the posters that come with the books.

We were lucky to have met Shane B[redacted] who took the time to explain the books and how to get the most from them and the website. When the boys are a bit older we plan on buying the rest of the series.

I have been a vendor/client/partner with Southwestern Advantage for over eight (8) years. In all of that time I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone on their team. They are all very energetic, hard working, ethical and an absolute joy to work with. Each person that I have worked with has a "can do" attitude and are solutions oriented.

I look forward to a continued relationship with SA!

I originally purchased these books for my kids 14 years ago and now am buying them for my grand children. Both of my kids went on to college and my oldest has graduated with 2 degrees from the one of the best college's in the country. These books along with many other things have made the girls more confident and assisted them with their studies. I highly recommend the product and the comany.

I am rather bothered by how this company does business. I had a sales rep come to my door. As soon as I opened the door he said " I assume you are the mother" no hello nothing......First off that is a red flag, how do you know I have children? I am already wondering what is going on and on the defense. Then he procedes to tell me he is a college student and he has to visit 30 house for a class.....Im thinking okay, ill hear him out for a minute because I've been a student myself. He continues to talk and says now how old are your children.....Again I am back on the defense. Why are you asking about my children. He wanted to know their ages, what grade of school they were in ect. You can not go up to a single mothers door and start questioning about her two girls! I was very vague in my answers while he kept fishing for information about us. I finally stopped him and asked what his point was and what he was trying to accomplish here. I had dinner on the stove and was feeling really uneasy. At this time he asked to come in and show me his products. The is a no! I had not seen and ID, didn't know exactly where he was from and didn't know why he was here! He was very muffled with his speech, his appearance was unkept he barely looked me in the eye and didn't let out a smile at all. Not someone I would let in my house. So many things are wrong with this sales tactic. I feel this company needs to revisit the training given to sales reps to fit todays changing society! People don't want to feel unsafe and it is wrong to keep justifying reasons why your sales reps continue with these invasive tactics. I have read many of your complaints and reviews from the past few years and it seems that nothing is going to change how you do business, which is sad. Seems like you are using college students to try and con people out of their money.

SOLICITING or the Sheriff Department will be called! The salesman man for Southwestern Company Door-to-Door has been in our neighborhood EVERY NIGHT this week and again today with one night it was 9pm!! After being told yet again today he was not to be in the neighborhood I called the police! This is getting out of hand and HAS to stop! We have small children and DO APPRECIATE strangers lurking in our neighborhood every night in a different car and will not leave! I will continue to call the police. In addition, I have notified the major news networks in the Atlanta area to have him investigated. The local Sheriff Department has been dealing with this same guy/company in other neighborhoods so why hasn't something been done?? It must STOP!!

Is a shame this company ...
1.- I found that you can return the books ONLY in 3 days!!!! "Is policy of the company they told me"by the phone 3 days!! He never told it to my wife .....
I never open the books and try to return them before 30 days .
2.-.the salesman didn't provide me the number of the company .... when I asked for it and when I tried to stop monthly payments ...THE SALESMAN t told me...JUST give it a try ...and didn't provide information to stop the payments!

This was very poor work ethics ethics and I am not a happy camper

The books that I purchase was very useful for my family especially to my brother & sister when they are doing their homework. Their is a lot of information that help them a lot at school...

A Southwestern Advantage salesperson came to my door recently. She displayed the Prescott city peddler's permit and other alleged credentials. My experience was a negative one, based on the excessive sales pressure she employed. At one point, she even asked me to fill her water bottle for her, possibly as a ruse to gain entry to my home. I also notice that the email address on her business card is a [redacted] account, which raises the question of the company's validity. I would recommend that no one do business with this company without a very thorough check first.

The following regulations shall apply to any peddler doing business within the unincorporated area of Chatham County, whether transient or local, and to any solicitor for a charitable or religious organization or for subscriptions who is required to obtain a license or permit:

5. No peddler or solicitor shall enter a private residence, place of business, public building, or other premises within the County under false pretenses for the purpose of peddling goods or services, soliciting orders for the sale of goods or services, soliciting subscriptions, or soliciting contributions; no peddler or solicitor shall remain in or on such premises after the owner, occupant, or other person in charge has requested the peddler or solicitor to leave; and no peddler or solicitor shall go in or on such premises when the owner, occupant, or other person in charge has displayed a "No Soliciting" sign or other similar sign on the premises. .....

I have had many positive experiences with Southwestern Advantage book sales over many years. I have purchased all of their books for children. Some years I was able to purchase books, others I was not. Last year I was afraid to do business with them because I kept hearing really scary comments on FB. I heard terrible rumors that were spreading quickly.
Today, once again, the bookman appeared on my porch. He did ask a lot of questions. Most seemed to be an effort to pinpoint my needs. Some of his questions did make me uneasy after I thought about them but again I honestly believe he was just making conversation. I am beyond excited about the new books and hope to purchase the whole set of this level.

I, for one, would never buy from this company. The company has no morals or business ethics and therefore cannot teach either of those to its student interns who are pushy and arrogant. Listen to this story! Salesman stops at my house on July18, 2015. This is a Satirday and when he stops by it is within 18 hours of us finding out about the tragic death of my 24 year old niece. I am not at home but my wife is. She immediately tells him after his initial introduction of our current situation. He continues to try and sell his product. Now, in my belief, is the time to bow out gracefully and say, "I am sorry for your loss. I have obviously caught you at an extremely bad time. I will try and come back at a time that is more appropriate.". But no! He continues and somehow gets my wife to reluctantly give her our debit card info so he can leave 2 of the 4 books so she can discuss it with me. Also tells her she has 3 days to cancel with no obligation. Now we have two children, work, and also now have to deal with a family crisis with death of a very close family member. Funeral proceedings, work, bereavement time, tons of family and friends stopping by with their cindolences and just to be their in a time of need. Who is thinking about books? Of course the 3 days passed and we forgot about it. The books have never been touched. We call about 7 days later after remembering and was basically told sorry you went passed the 3 days and you are stuck with the books and out of $250. $250 for the same books I could have bought online for a fourth of the cost. Salesman comes back to deliver the other two books and will not budge off the 3 day rule. Got his supervisor name and called her. Her response was basically the same. He name was Yvette by the way. An associate of Southwestern Advantage of 20 years. Obviously he lack of backbone, morals, integrity, and business ethics has rubbed off on her young salesman because he exhibited the same exact position. So....now I am stuck with $250 paper weights that have absolutely no value whatsoever to me. Moral of this story is: if you have a shred of doubt about the purchase of this company's product. Do not entertain the offer and send that salesman packing quickly. As pushy as they are this may require holding a gun pointed at them and telling them they have until the count of three to leave. At no point in the future will I have anything to do with this company. And...for the next time a Southwestern Advantage associate shows up at my door to sell this product they will definitely not like me. I may even call the law and tell them someone is trying to rob me because that is exactly what they are trying to do. Did I have a negative experience. Why yes I did and that is putting it very mildly.

I refused to buy anything because the guy was too squirrely.
He refused to give me any prices and told me that this was the only chance I would ever have to get these amazingly useful books, etc....
I told him that if it was so great, I should be able to do some research and have time to think about it and talk to my wife about it.
He also had a sample book that he showed so fast, flipping pages constantly, that it was impossible to actually read anything.
I told him straight up that I did not appreciate the pressure tactics and a soon as he realised I was not going to fall for the line of BS, he said he would take my name off his list and he could not leave fast enough.
The funny thing is that I'm sure that someone selling the same stuff came here several years ago.
Needless to say, I did not buy then either.

This is my second time purchasing books from this company. During this last encounter I purchased the bible books and I LOVE THEM. They have been fantastic. I read to my 5 year old daughter ever night from these books and it's easy enough that she can understand. I also take it to church and read them to the older kids and they enjoy it. They have great -did you know sections in ever chapter that are fun and interesting for the kids. It allows you to understand the tools the people used and how they built buildings and really it breaks information down so you can understand easier. So happy with my purchase !!!
