Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Warranty still in play until April 2016.
First of all let me say, I have no problem with the work that was performed initially.  Rick explained to me all the ins and outs of concrete and I understood it then and now. Rick also told me that if ‘they damaged anything that they would fix it”.
On July 28th when Rick came to look at the crack, he saw the crack in the concrete that the metal shed was on in which they had put dowels.  He stepped on that crack and said to me, “I did not notice that when we were pouring the concrete”.  He came back on July 29th to cut the concrete that was poured to prevent the crack from going any further.  While cutting, his saw slipped and sawed out a piece of concrete.  When I went outside he told me about it, said that he would be back to fix it after he worked with a color match.  This is where the problem started.  Rick never got back with me as to when he would fix it.  I called him on August 17th, nineteen days after he left on the 29th to see if I needed to keep that section of concrete dry, he never let me know one way or the other.
After I called him again on August 21st and he answered his cell phone is when I told him about the hairline cracks and that I did not think they would be a problem. I figured when he came to fix the damage he had done he could look at the hairline cracks and kill two birds with one visit. At this time he said he was working in Laurel and would be in Billings later and would stop.  That never happened and he never called to say he was not coming or when he would come. I never heard from Rick again.
You statement: “Instead of replacing all the damaged concrete she chose to only do part of it.”  Rick and I discussed the section behind the garage and I did choose not to move/tear down a metal shed and put new concrete there.  Cost was a factor.  Remember, Rick said to me when he viewed the crack before he came back to cut the concrete, “I did not notice that when we were pouring the concrete”.
Your statement: “went back many times to fix problems not even associated with our project.”  Excuse me, but the damage to the sprinkler system was your problem.  When the ground stayed constantly wet, I called and they came out to recheck it to make sure there was not a leak.  I did not damage the sprinkler system with the equipment Dean did as I saw it happen from my window.  I did not saw the concrete and damage the pad, Rick did. Again, I go back to Rick’s statement, “if they damage anything they would fix it”.
Your statements: “The Owner of J&J returned ALL phone calls to the customer.”  AND, “he even spoke to her before and after this letter was sent to Revdex.com.”  Let me say with complete confidence that both those statement are complete and utter prevarication on your part.  I take issue with this.
I n I   never heard back from Rick after my last call to him on August 21st. He never called me back nor did he come see me.
I w I  was never told at any time by Rick or anyone else from J&J that there was nothing more J&J could do for me.
I se I sent the letter to the Revdex.com in September. I have not talked with Rick since August 21st or anyone from J&J after I sent the letter to the Revdex.com.
<!- If Rick or anyone from J&J called me and I was not at home, NO ONE left a message.  If they had I would have returned the call.
One of the men put a sealer on my patio and I arrived home just as he left.  I went out to look at what he had done and found that he did not sweep some of the dirt clumps off the new concrete but sprayed the sealer over the dirt.  I called Rick, he had the man come back and correct the situations.  That man also put sealer on my landscape curbing and brick in the front yard for which I paid them $200.00.  The sealer was contracted with the job for the patio and the extra was discussed and agreed to by Rick and me.
I take issue with the statement that there is nothing more that J&J can do for me.  Please excuse me, but don’t I have a one year warranty and that warranty is not up until April 2016. You state that the federal government only requires a one year warranty but that does not preclude J&J from extending it if they so desire as a gesture of good faith.  However, I know that J&J will not honor an additional year.
All I am asking is that the damage be fixed, the hairline cracks looked at and consideration of an extended warranty.  This really did not have to come down to this as I have said all along to Rick, communication is key.  Sadly, this single lady of 71 is just trying to get her just dues from the statement, “if we damage it we fix it”.
I look forward to your favorable reply  that  Rick will fix the damage that he has done, view the cracks, which I have said “do not believe they will be a problem” and will hold my breathe regarding your gesture of good faith. If your work is quality as you promote, then an extended year should not be a problem.  Believe me; I do not want my yard tore up again.
