Review: I was on [redacted] as I normally have been as of late looking for a new job. I have been unemployed for nearly 4 months and am having difficulty finding employment in this economy. I found a post that interested me and I responded by sending out my resume. Someone by the name of "[redacted]" from J&J Consulting immediately called me saying how impressed he was with my resume. He scheduled an interview the following day, September ** and told me to bring in $40 for a background check. He told me he would only take the $40 should I get the job. I was skeptic but also desperate to find a job. When I got there, there was no actual office. It's a tiny room with no signs of it being a legitimate business. [redacted] was not there as he was "sick". I was greeted by a [redacted] and another man who did not speak to me but appears to have been with [redacted]. He then made me sign a "contract" which stated I needed to pay the $40 that day and still owed a balance for a drug test ($30) and ten hour class for OSHA certification ($80). I paid the $40 but left feeling strange. Once I got home I went on their website and tried to find out as much as I could about "J&J Consulting". The contact phone number no one answered. The testimonials looked falsified. I then knew I had been scammed. I felt humiliated and stupid. Today, September **, [redacted] calls me and is adamant that I come in immediately to pay my remaining balance. He did not call me from the business phone listed on their website rather from a cell phone : ###-###-####. I told him I'd call him back and acted as normally as possible. I am furious that these people get away with duping others. When I was initially called I was excited at the possible prospect of working again. This is not right nor ethical. Please shut these fraudulent schemers out of business. **I have the contract we both signed, an envelope with their supposed contact information and the receipt of my paid $40.**Desired Settlement: I understand that $40 is not a lot. I am currently unemployed after working for 6 years at the same company. I am seriously looking for a new job opportunity and the fact that these vultures are preying on innocent people is not right. If I could get the $40 refunded, great. If not, my complain can help prevent this from happening to many innocent others.

[redacted] was given several different options in regards to employment opportunities we have available. [redacted] opted to take a OSHA licensing course. [redacted] has been a client since September **, 2013. This complaint is slanderous and un-founded. How dare you call this company a scam. [redacted] states he called the office line ([redacted]) and no one answered, so that makes this company a scam? The contract [redacted] signed (which we still have the original of) says absolutely nothing about money at all. The contract states exactly what we discussed during our time together. ( Desired salary, Shift and his information) Prior to [redacted] signing the contract he stepped out of the office, entered into the hallway where he placed a phone call to his girlfriend or wife for approval of the OSHA program. Upon completion of that phone call [redacted] entered back into the office and wanted to move forward with the OSHA training. [redacted] s also states that our office is not really an office, If I were able to put pictures up of it I would however this website does not allow you to. [redacted] also states that the testimonials on our website are falsified. I will be posting contact information for the clients on the website so you can reach out to them and see what they have to say. [redacted] also states that he received a call from ###-###-#### which [redacted] claims is a cell phone, It is not a cell phone. It is another line inside of our office. [redacted] has not reached out to this company at all for any type of resolution instead he began a campaign to vilify this company. Here at J&J we work hard for our clients and we take situations like this extremely personal. We will not go quietly into the night. We are considering taking legal action against this gentleman for wrongful accusation with malicious intent, defamation of character and slandering. [redacted] ended his complaint by calling J& J Consulting "Fraudulent Scammers" My question to you [redacted] is what legs do you have to stand on to call us that? You did not take the OSHA, You did not come back here for anything? All you did was pay for a background check and then file a complaint with the Revdex.com... Makes a lot of sense!

Review: I had interviewed with J and J consulting regarding their employment posting for maintenance work back in 12/2013. I was informed that I had to pay a fee for a background check and also take OSHA training. I then payed the fee for the background check and was told to await the results which would be available in 3 weeks and if cleared I could move on with the employment process. 3 weeks passed and I attempted to contact them in regards to my background check and to no avail I couldn't get in contact with them. I was later informed that they would contact me to start the required OSHA training at a later date. I left several phone messages and emails with no results for when the OSHA training was taking place . I frequented their website as well, which was periodically updated in regards to the OSHA training saying that a date was pending. I still persisted in obtaining contact through phone and email to no response. Recently I discovered that the website no longer exists.Desired Settlement: I payed $50 with the promise of having a background check done and I would like to be reimbursed the $50 for the background check I never received and OSHA training I never had the opportunity to attended or if the background check was done, I would like to receive a copy of the report I payed for.
