I had a big problem with my heating systemI called other companies and received quotes for repairing my systemHowever they all seemed to be overpricedI then called JJ Heating & CoolingThey were very helpful with my initial questions regarding my heating systemOnce they came out and looking at my heating system and located the issue, they were able to resolve my problemThey were upfront about all costs associated with repairing my heat systemThey fixed my problem in a timely manner and their service was impeccableI was extremely satisfied with my experience with JJ Heating & CoolingI have recommended them to my neighbors and when I have another issue, I will keep them in mind

Seeking a partial refund for services on A/C that was not needed Technician who would not provide his name or license number serviced an A/C at *** by replacing a thermostat and adding in Freon to the system on 8/6/ Called back a second time days later on 8/11/when the A/C was still not workingTechnician returned to clean the system and replace capacitor Both service calls totaled $ When I requested a diagnosis and questioned the technician about how he knew what was wrong with system, technician informed me the system was not clean and he did not charge me for a diagnosis When the technician provide me with a second receipt I requested detail receipt for both service calls Although I questioned the technician on both service calls, and the pricing of both repairs, he stated that the system needed cleaning and it was obvious when any technician looked at the machine I called back again on 8/12/and requested to speak

On the 14th of August 2016, JC *** representing JJ Heating and Cooling ("lead HVAC technician" per Yelp account) arrived alone and diagnosed that our furnace was no longer working and had to be replacedMy husband and I paid $towards the furnace, thermostat, and the recommended work to outside AC unit (raise it off the ground, which has not been completed to this date, invoice provided)Mr***, at a later date arrived with the unit and installed it on his ownMy husband helped Mr*** carry the unit to the 2nd floorSince having the furnace installed, Mr*** has been contacted for odd noises coming from the furnace and leaking coming from the ceiling (later we would find out the furnace installed was not the correct one for our hook up at home)There was no explanation given and at the time the unit continued to workThe most recent contact occurred after our water heater was serviced (not by JJ Heating and Cooling) by BGE HomeThe technician from BGE Home came out and installed our new water heaterAnne Arundel County Inspection and Permits inspected BGE Homes' work to make sure it met codes and it did notIt did not meet up to code because of the improper installation by Mr***Anne Arundel County Inspection and Permits reported the furnace was hooked up improperly to the water heater which caused the water heater to fail inspectionI decided to call Mr*** to alert him of the notice I was given by A.ACounty Inspection and PermitsMr*** requested that I contact his "office" to schedule a time for him to come by (even though on Yelp and company website, it does not state to call office to schedule appointments)I complied to his request and called the office and spoke to MaryI requested that Mr*** come by in the afternoon because of our baby's sleep scheduleText confirmation was received stating the appointment was scheduled on the 22nd of September for 2:p.m
Mr*** rang the doorbell around 10:a.min the morningPresent in my front yard was Mr***, a female and another male (who I later found out was Mr***)Mr*** said he could come back as scheduled but I declined and decided to let him look at his furnace installation because we were already a few days in without warm waterI went upstairs to let my husband know they were hereI came back downstairs and saw that Mr*** had a new furnace (in the box) on my yardHe reported that the first unit he installed (Nortek Global HVAC unit) was recalled and so he brought a new furnace (Goodman)We had no clue this was his plan whatsoeverWhile Mr*** and Mr*** installed the new unit, I called Nortek Global HVACI spoke to a representative who reported there were no recalls for any units that she was aware ofMr*** and Mr*** leftInstallation presentation was completely different from the first installation that Mr*** did on his ownThe installation looked more professional than the first installation but according to BGE Home today, 4/23/2018, it is improperly installed and not up to code
I thought I would never have to call JJ Heating and Cooling againI was wrongCold air was no longer blowing out on the 8th of October I called Mr*** requesting his services since there shouldn't have been any problems with a brand new unitYes, he did not charge us for his previous 2-visits to our home after our furnace was making odd noises and leaking coming from the ceiling due to improper installation, but at this time he reported that he had to charge us for the next visit (said over the phone)My husband and I spoke about it and decided we no longer wanted him to work with usI texted Mr*** at 9:a.mon the 10th of October "Good morning, No need to come by to [my address]"Mr*** knocked on the door and reported to my mother that the unit outside is broken and it needs to be replacedMr*** also reported that the unit was leaking freon
I proceeded to call our insurance company, American Home Shield, who sent out another HVAC company to diagnose and fix our outside unitEcco Tec Home Services LLC was assignedThey arrived Wednesday October 11th and diagnosed our problemAccording to American Home Shield per Ecco Tec Home Services the following was reported: not cooling, running low on freon, condenser leaking, failure not due to wear and tear, and it looks "like he pinched hole in condenser"*** from Ecco Tec Home Services LLC called me the 13th of October to inform me of the information they shared to American Home ShieldMr*** reported to me that the unit looked like it was tampered with and also had the same statements gathered from AHSMr*** reported that he could have serviced the unit by adding freon but because of the damage to the condenser, the whole unit needed to be replacedMr*** recommended that I file a police
