JJ Quality Builders Reviews (%countItem)

Be very careful when advancing money to this company if they ask for a deposit, they are not honest people managing others people money. We are a material supplier and sold them materials for several roofing jobs with credit terms, the experience couldn't have been worse. They never pick up the phone. Once they finish the jobs and collect from the owners they have not pay us and this is extremely dangerous for the property owner because they can end up paying twice for the materials. Be aware to make sure all your suppliers are paid before paying this contractor.

+1

Second roof repair on tile roof in Journeys End. From sales through management and on the room men. OUTSTANDING. Fair price. Like being in mothers womb for roofing. Hard to find in south Florida.

Used JJ Quality Builders for roofing repairs on my Orlando home. Dealt with Rudy Z., who ensured an excellent job. I am completely satisfied with the results.

On January (Invoice number XXXXXX) they made a general repair on the roof located at 4113 Hunters park lane, XXXXX, with a one year warranty over the job. On April we had a leak on the roof and we started the process of contacting them with no answer from the company. On several occasions we sent text messages as well as made phone calls. We were finally able to contact them at the beginning of August, they promised to come and look at the leak since we had the one year warranty, and they failed to show up for the appointment made. I continued to contact them with no answer from them, so finally about two weeks ago (middle of September) I send them another message, and communicated that I would be contacting the Revdex.com. To my surprised not even 15 minutes later I got a phone call from them, promising me to be here on Monday (two weeks ago) at 11:00AM. I am still waiting for him to show up, with no answers from him when I call.
Product_Or_Service: Roof repair

Desired Outcome

Finish the job I would appreciate this matter resolved since I now have more than one leak because the main leak has not been fixed like they said it would.

Good Afternoon ,

Issue has been resolved with client. Client is very happy with the work we have done for her and has also referred us to more clients.

Did not provide quality service or work on brand new home after Hurricane Michael
Estimate #: XXXXXX
Payment Method: Cashiers Check totaling $22,000
Dates of service began: Jan 2019
Problem Dates: Jan - May 2019

I hired this company to redo my roof from Hurricane Michael and they did a phenomenal job with a crew of 10-12 people. They also advertise that they are a construction company and to not have any delay to the repairs on my brand new home built in 2017 I hired them. What a mistake. Instead of a crew I got a one person team of a man who was over 60. My home looked better when it was gutted out and plastic all over the place.

I will start with the DRYWALL: The most damage was done to my master bedroom. The drywall work looks like something my 7 year old did with her clay. You can clearly see where it was cut out as they did not sand it down. It is clumped up in all areas of the corners and behind the doors. They constructed me an extra closet and the patch work on that is exactly like I called it "patch work". You can visibly every knot, crack and bulge and nothing was sanded down. It is as if they just threw it on the wall and literally walked away.

Crown molding and border: My crown molding was custom built. Only half was taken out in the dining room and all in the master bedroom and bath. Let's just say my house does not match and the border behind the doors was just laid in the crack and plaster thrown on top of it.

Paint: They were paid to paint my entire home in the inside. Did not happen. I actually had to bring a friend over to help paint just to get the so called team to move with a sense of urgency.

Ceiling: The textures in my ceiling are way off and they never tried to correct the mistake.

With this complaint I want you to know that I complained to the company SEVERAL times by email and phone call and they never tried to resolve the issue. No attempts were made to even say Ms. what can we do to fix this or even suggest to bring in a team to correct the areas. After this I wanted them no longer in my home. I was desperately trying to get back to my "normal" and JJ Quality Builders have set me back.

Towards the end which was 2 weeks ago I was done and over it. I just wanted them out of my home as they left for a week to go back to Miami. I was told that he would be back just to do "touch ups". That is such a laugh. One guy came back on 5/6 along with his wife to put in the installation. He came back on 5/7 to finish installing the fans and hang the mirror and lights that he left down to paint ( did not happen) in my kids bathroom. While he was there in walks the older guy who was working on my home at first, the wife and I am assuming a boss out of nowhere. If that was the boss he never made any attempt to resolve anything or inspect his teams work as clearly you can see the mismatch ceiling and the blue tape that was left. Be mindful I had no idea what was going on at this time.

They watched him hang the fan outside and he hurried to hang the mirror in the bathroom. I wanted him to fix the toilet that was destroyed in the master bathroom in which paint was attempted to be flushed down my toilet and they left massive amount of paper in it. At this point I was just ready for them to get out of my house so I told him not to worry about. The only thing JJ Quality Builders did with my home was the roof. The only thing done professionally in my home was the carpet and that was done by the subcontractor.

Now I am at a home where I have to save money to have my house put back exactly the way it was. They did not clean anything as there is paint on my floors, countertops and brand new carpet. I have to pay someone to come and clean my house as well. I am just outdone because at this point I feel as if I was taken advantage of and this company did not give a *** about making right their wrongs. They are satisfied with mediocre work and apparently ready to get back to Miami.

Desired Outcome

Seeing that the company had received many complaints from me and NEVER tried to resolve this matter by sending out an actually team I am seeking some type of refund. I have to pay someone to fix what they did not or attempted to do and that is not fair. They wasted my time and theirs when I could've had professionals. I have to have my builder come and restore my home in which he will subcontract out and that will be money out of my pocket. If I would have know it was going to take JJ Quality Builders til the summer to attempt to fix my home I would have waited on my builder. What a waster.

Ms. initially hired JJ Quality Builders (JJQB) to perform insurance-approved repairs to her home following Hurricane Michael. In addition to the windstorm damage, Ms. requested JJQB to perform interior remodel work to her residence. The additional scope (i.e. that which was outside of the insurance-approved claim scope) would need to be paid by Ms., and Ms. agreed to be responsible for same. The scope was contracted at $33,819.19. Of that amount, Ms. has only made payment for $15,000.00. As such, a remaining balance of $18,819.19 remains unpaid, however this final amount does not provide for the small amount of credit JJQB agreed to provide Ms. relative to work performed by her own subcontractor (as discussed further below). However, these uncalculated credits are relatively minor and account for a very small percentage of the outstanding balance. At this time, all outstanding work pursuant to the contracted scope is complete, as of April 25, 2019, and punch-list items had been addressed to the homeowner's satisfaction, as of May 8, 2019. At this point, an invoice for the remaining work was produced to Ms.. She responded the following day with this complaint.

JJQB disagrees with the characterization of work as presented by Ms. and believes that this is an attempt by Ms. to avoid paying the remaining balance for the work performed. All work was approved by Ms. as of May 8, 2019, and have passed *** required inspections and certifications. Any work Ms. believes was improperly performed should be addressed through a Florida Statute 558 Notice et sec, as required by Florida law, to allow JJQB the opportunity and right to remediate any valid complaints. However, Ms. has stated that JJQB is not welcome to return to the subject property to inspect and repair, which is contrary to Florida Statute 558 et sec, depriving JJQB of its statutory right to address any problems properly. Instead, this complaint was filed without any evidence to support the claims made therein, and none has been provided to JJQB relative to same. JJQB cannot accurately address any of the specific claims made by Ms. as this evidence was not produced and JJQB has been barred from performing any inspection of the alleged problem areas.

Some claims made herein, however, can be addressed. JJQB did send a single worker to perform the punch-list items and adjustments and perform the final cleanup. However, at all times precedent, JJQB had a crew of 2 - 10 workers, depending on the scope of work being performed at the time. There were several occasions in which JJQB could only supply a 2-man team as the work performed was residential remodel work in confined areas of an occupied home, making the deployment of a larger team inefficient and problematic.

On a final note, there are several items of work/materials which were provided to Ms. without recompense, despite the material benefit to Ms.. For example, several ceiling fans were provided and installed without cost to Ms.. Additionally, Ms. retained her own subcontractor by the name of "Jericho" who performed some of JJQB's scope subject to the aforementioned credits. However, upon information and belief, Jericho is not a licensed contractor in any trade and did improper/substandard work which had to be redone by JJQB, again without request for payment.

To recap: JJQB preformed all work relative to the contracted scope between Ms. and JJQB. All issues of concern raised by Ms. were addressed contemporaneously with the project work and a final punch-list was performed on May 8, 2019. Presently, approximately $18,000.00 remains unpaid and an invoice was presented for payment. Ms. filed this complaint with the Revdex.com the following day. Ms. has, however, failed to comply with Florida Statute 558 et sec, thereby depriving JJQB of its opportunity to remedy. JJQB intends to present its lien claim for unpaid sums and collect all outstanding funds for same, pursuant to Florida Statute 713 et sec. However, JJQB will perform any necessary punch-list/repair/warranty work should they be allowed to inspect the property pursuant to said Florida law in furtherance of identifying any legitimate concerns or complaints and evaluating the best means by which to repair or remediate.

I received a forwarded email today fro JJ Quality builders of all emails that I have sent to them over the last month. Their email was addessed to someone by the name of Gavin stating that they did respond to my emails and that no complaints were ever made to Joe. That is false and I requested that they forward me the emails in which they responded to my emails and I was conveniently left off.

As you can tell I am still outdone with the rebuttal from JJQB. I have the bank copies for $22,000. You got a check for 10,000 /7,000 and 5,000. That is $22,000. JJQB is reporting a total $33,000. 22-32 is 10. Lets subtract the 5,000 that was not spent on sidings as it came from the attic as well as some paint. I paid forfor them to use eggshell and according a painter who I had come inspect they used eggshell along with flat mixing the 2 together. Not what I paid for. IF I owe you anything it is $0. I was taken advantage of during my time of duress thinking the company I hired had my best interest.

I have a lot pf documentation that this system would not let me upload . Is there a fax #. Thank God I paid with cashiers checks.

JJ quality builders has been the best option I have ever found in the county of Miami-Dade. They did my roof very nice very competitive price and the overall work was amazing. Later on they started doing my wooden fence and it was so incredible that 2 of my neighbors hired the company for their new fence replacement n one of them for roof repair that's been leaking for years. this company answer your phone call they give you the best price in the market they are very reliable it is fully recommended by me my neighbors and my family. Some more work in the neighborhood have been lined up now due to the great success. thank you JJ quality builders for such an extraordinary job you've done in my house and in my neighborhood. We all very grateful with you and your company God bless you.

Hi, I tried not to select a review star at all, but, the review section would not process my review for your viewing, unless, I select at least one star. I sincerely hope the review section changes this odd, unfair rule, in case a consumer has a negative review comment on an unethical company.

Disclaimer: My negative review(s) here is/are not slander against this company, it's all the truth, which I have extensive documentation on.

I live in Homestead, Florida, and to this date, it's been approximately (4) in a half months that I've been waiting for J&J Quality Builder's and their owner, Mr. *** to complete my wooden fencing how I want it done, and he and his subcontractor, wooden fencing supervisor have refused, they started the job incorrectly, against my instructions, and J&J Quality Builder's and their subcontractor, wooden fence supervisor have, both, refused to correct and make the necessary modifications to my wooden fence which they "had"(past tense) started.

They sent their subcontractor, wooden fencing workers to start installing my fence
incorrectly against how I instructed that my fence be done.

I've even had to call a City of Homestead home inspector from my area, who shall remain nameless, who, ethically, understood my point, and who instructed me and J&J Quality Builder's, after they called him, that if I'm paying for my wooden fence, then, I can request to have my wooden fence done, how I want it done, which is: (with the pretty side facing my yard, and the ugly side of the fence and its wooden post columns facing both of my neighbors yards).

I will be filing business/consumer complaints with the necessary entity's, ex., Home Advisors, Revdex.com, etc., and then filing a Racial discrimination, Retaliation (work slowdown/stoppage, because of my complaining and because of my race, which they know my race, it's in writing in the many emails that I've sent them), and due to their violations of our work contract, incompetent work performance, employees constantly lieing to me as to when the work will be corrected and completed (which I've been complaining via emails about employees lieing to me, and nothing has been done either, the Retaliation against me and the work slowdown/stoppage against me just continues, Geez..ð?¤?.

Please do yourself a BIG favor... don't spend your hard earned money and go through the unnecessary grief that I'm presently going through, with this incompetent company and its owner who, to this date, has ignored my emails, and he has refused to respond to any of my emails to resolve the aforementioned, and to finish my fencing as I want it done, after all, like I told the owner in writing via many emails, and as I told his employees many times, verbally, I'm paying for the fencing and not them. Thank you all.

1. Any; and, all prospective customers, to include my military and law professional colleagues, family, friends and the public at large in need of a new roof, it's my distinct pleasure to write this unsolicited Business Review on behalf of JJ Quality Builders, Inc. of the Palm Beaches and Mr. James G.! James was the Project Manager for the complete removal and restoration of the old dilapidated roof of my fiancée's single-family detached home built in 1957. We had no prior relationship with James, whom we found via Home Advisors highly favorable recommendation. The scope of restoration involved Shingle Roof/Reroof w/High Definition Architectural 50 Year Shingles (approximately 1200 sq. ft.), Flat Roof/Reroof (approximately 300 sq. ft.), install one Solatube Solar Attic Fan RM1200; and, initially a Roof Secondary Water Barrier (couldn't be installed after all). The project took two and one-half days; and, involved one three-man work crew (carpenters, roofers, etc.) at a budget slightly less than $10,000.00. Moreover, there were no hidden costs, high pressured sales tactics or unethical business practices!

2. While major roof reconstruction is inherently for almost any homeowner, James services as the project manager/general contractor were invaluable; and, we'??re extremely pleased with the final results. Specifically, I would give James and JJ Quality Builders, Inc. of the Palm Beaches superior marks in the following areas: (a) Quality of Work Performed (b) Quality of Work Crew (c) Project Management and Coordination (d) Integrity and Professionalism (e) Effective Communication (f) Responsiveness to Homeowners Needs and Concerns/Truth in Advertising/Value, (g) Sensitivity to Worksite Appearance and Neighbor Relations

3. Conclusively, my fiancée and I are very pleased with the final product which James and his number one work crew were instrumental in delivering; and, we're extremely impressed with his work as a project manager/general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship; and, inferior service is unfortunately all too common, James is indeed a rare jewel! We've been homeowners for well over 25 years; and, we're taking this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited Business Review for James and JJ Quality Builders, Inc. of the Palm Beaches because we believe that exceptional work should be duly recognized! We would not hesitate to hire James again, or to recommend him to our military and law profession colleagues, neighbors, family, friends and the public at large. We recommend James Galimidi to you most enthusiastically; and, without any reservations. If you have any questions about our experience, please feel free to contact us at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
