I am rejecting this response because:I was told the inspection of the noise by dropping the oil pan was to see if the motor ,in their opinion, was worth fixing or not as I did not want to spend any money if the problem was not worth fixingThis was not a free inspection , I paid to get the result from this inspection.After the inspection, JJ's advised me that in their opinion , the purposed repair would be successful in adding up to or more years to life of motorOnce the new bearings were alledgedly installed , The knocking was not better and I immediately returned to JJ's to show them and was told it was due to a tune up issue which they neglected to inform me about until I complained the motor only lasted another days and completely became un drivable , began to shake badly , and knock even worse than beforeI returned to JJ's shop more times in an effort to give them the opportunity to fix as promised and was told vehicle had tune up issuesI had new spark plugs and wires installed by another mechanic and this did not make a differenceThe repair done by JJ's never made the van run better and in fact ran worse untill it completly seized up days laterVan is no longer running and was never fixed properly.Recently, JJ called me and stated I had only paid his shop 212.00, I have my receipt from JJ's in the amount of 366.00+ for repairs This person is dishonest and a liarNext step is legal action if this cannot be resolved immediately I WANT A FULL REFUND immediately . psThank you Revdex.com for you help in trying to resolve this matter

When customer brought his vehicle in engine was knocking severelyCustomer asked me what his options wereI told him honestly your vehicle needs a new engineCustomer stated that he could not afford a new engine is there any other repairs that could possibly help himI told him we could put
rod bearing in but we need pull the oil pan down and inspect crank and rod bearing first to see conditionCustomer asked what life expectancy could I expect out of a repair like this I told him I have seen a car repaired like this last up to years and as far as I know its still runningAgain I told him I had to inspect condition of bearingCustomer gave us the OK to drop pan and inspect bearings The bearings were very wornI called the customer told him the bearings are pretty torn up but I told him that if we put bearings in the car it will make it better but doing repairs like this is a shot in the darkCustomer asked me again Is it something worth doing I told him the only thing we are doing is buying you timeCustomer gave the approval to install Rod bearings so we didAfter bearing installation started vehicle up engine was much quieter than the first time vehicle was brought into shopCustomer came down listened to engine and agreed engine was much quieter than when he dropped vehicle off for inspectionTest drove vehicle with customer and again they agreed vehicle was much quieter than before repairI made myself very clear all this repair is doing is buying you timeSo they could figure out what they were going to do. Service MgrWhen the customer brought the vehicle back, I believe on the 10thI drove it with himThe knocking noise was not as loud as he stated when he picked it up on the 5th, but there was a miss in the engineHe asked how long the motor would last and I told him I wasn’t sureWe did one and its been years and it still workingWhen we told him about the knocking noise, we told him “it was a shot in the dark but to make things last you have to baby them and there was no telling how long it will lastAs fas as the running rough a tune up was recommended which he declined to doHis spark plugs were gapped completely wrond, who ever did themWhen he left the moto was still quieter than when he brought it inWhich saved having to spend thousands on a motorWe recommend what is necessary and that's itThe custTells us what to do.Thank youJJ
