Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:We filed this complaint on 11/14/and the business JJED Remodeling took months to send a response back in which the issue at hand our kitchen floor has still not been addressedWith all the time that has lapsed the floor is now a hazard as [redacted] cut his foot on a sharp uneven edgePictures to follow email address provided ( [redacted] )Although JJED Remodeling, [redacted] response has nothing to do with the floor and the other problems stated in our initial complaintI will address his statements:There was no delay on our part: JJED Remodeling - [redacted] began the kitchen renovation at our house located at [redacted] on 7/29/2014As [redacted] advised, we ordered the cabinets on 7/17/2014and they were delivered on 7/29/( all copies of dated receipts and deliveries on hand)Matter of fact, they sat in our garage piled up for months (leaving us no access to our garage) until he finally got to installing them which was not until September.Appliances were ordered on 7/9/but delivery was held off until 8/22/as [redacted] recommended us to do as he said appliances would be the last to be installed( all receipts and proof of delivery on hand and can be provided)The appliances also sat in our garage for more than a month because [redacted] (JJED Remodeling) was no where near installation of them, even on 8/22/as the date he recommended would be safe for install Thus resulting in no delays from the us, the homeowner. In addition, we are very confused ..We were following the JJED Remodeling Contract Proposal dated 7/4/( please note: JJED Remodeling has attached the incorrect proposal in his response back to you - that is an outdated proposal)the JJED Remodeling Proposal states: ( please refer to #on JJED Proposal)# 12: Install cement board and ceramic tile on kitchen floorHowever JJED Remodeling - [redacted] in his letter dated 1/14/seems to be referring to the Archictect Proposal instead of his own business proposal? So if that is the actual proposal we should be referring to then please see #from Architect Drawings/ Proposal which states:#- New floors are to be flush with existing finished floorsIf that is the correct proposal that we should be adhering to, then there is an even bigger problem as the new kitchen floor elevates off the existing finished floors by over 1" which was something we also addressed to [redacted] in which he claimed he could not and would not fix.As far as additional mondey coming out of [redacted] 's pocket: [redacted] 's plumber - [redacted] , Bergenfield NJ ( please refer to prior Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] on file for this) - workers scratched our front trex porch when they decided to drag our new dishwasher from the garage to our front door along our porchMeanwhile there was a clear walkway that they could have used Please refer to contract drawn up by the company JJED Remodeling:"All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner"So why would should that even be questioned as to who should have paid for this damage? In addition, the dishwasher that was installed by [redacted] 's workers - [redacted] Plumbing & Heating installed the brand new dishwasher and cracked both sides of the dishwashwer and caused it not to work. When the [redacted] Representative came out and pulled it out, he advised and showed us that it was cracked due to inproper install I can forward all picutres and the Repair Document from [redacted] .Since the plumber broke it why should we be responsible to incur an additional charge for a brand new dishwasher? Also please note: to date, we have not received a store or manaufacturer warranty or from JJED Remodeling for the new [redacted] dishwasherThat information should have been given to us per the Contract. Please also note that [redacted] 's plumber [redacted] came to our house and threatened my husband, [redacted] when he learned of the Revdex.com Complaint that we filed againgst his company We have this recordedNow that we have addressed all of [redacted] 's - JJED Remodeling concernsthe problem of a hazardous floor and an incomplete kitchen renovation exists. As stated in prior complaint: Additional kitchen problems and incompletion:Incorrect install of backsplash - the backsplash we purchased has a flower embossed throughout the backsplash and [redacted] , JJED Remodeling put grout all over the backsplah and did not clean it the proper way causing the embossement to loose all character I had a company come out to see if they could clean the grout out and they said it was impossilbe and that the backsplash is ruined All receipts and quotes on hand.Improper installation of under cabinet lighting - wires and huge holes exposedWires are already loose and hanging.Since its quite apparent that the business owner does not want to address this problem, we will have to seek the necessary steps to moving forward in getting this resolvedWe ask that this complaint be shown against this business JJED Remodeling record and kept on file so that future homeowner's don't have to tolerate such poor workmanship, communication and terrible quality of work.Regards, [redacted]

Review: Our kitchen began the week of 7/28 - we are at week 15 and the work is still not done. I can include pictures of the poor craftsmanship of the work to date. We have been completely understanding and patient however the contractor is now asking for his final payment. Our kitchen was completely gutted we expected to have an even surface for tiles. In the process of laying the tiles we communicated many times that the tiles were unleveled. He continued to lay the tile therefore resulting in a terrible floor. Tiles are uneven they are popping up, broke and look terrible. Now these tiles re discontinued. Backsplash was installed poorly. Took it upon himself to put tiles around our window which was never consulted resulting us to spend more money on additional mosaic backsplash tiles as we needed more. Poor installation, demolition and planning of where under cabinet lighting is sitting. We now have wire hanging out and holes in grout. The crown molding, cabinet wood fixtures are poorly installed. Cuts of ankles are off. The finishing nails were not filled with wood or stained. The spots that were stained the color is completely different. Upon work on the home both dining room and living room floors were damaged. We had to pay for these repairs. In addition, a transition piece from one room to another is completely uneven. This floor transition piece slopes upwards. Upon fixing the interior walls after demo our bathroom wall was damaged and stained with orange insulation. Our ceiling tiles in our basement were all damaged replaced but now all uneven colors. The new walls were all done poorly. The wall especially by our sliding glass door was not speckled correctly. You can see the tape popping through. Not to mention his plumber [redacted] from Bergenfield, Nj threatened The home owner which we have on tape.Desired Settlement: We look to come to a resolution however his continuous errors leave doubt that the work can be done correctly. He is now mailing a letter asking for his balance. The balance owed exceeds the work and repair that still needs to be done.

Review: A proposal between [redacted] of JJED Remolding and myself, [redacted], was made on October 7th, 2015 in which the Jalousie storm door would be installed within the time frame of Oct-Nov. 2015. After much delay, the door was finally installed on Dec. 16th, 2015. After a recent rainstorm and upon careful inspection, I discovered that the door was not flush and water and cold air was entering my home. I contacted and informed [redacted] of the problem on Jan. 4th, 2016, and as of today 1/11/16, I have not received a definite date for repair. [redacted] also did not sign my Lifetime Limited Transferable Warranty with Bonded Products.Desired Settlement: Repair – of products or services if they were unsatisfactory or damaged . And for [redacted] to sign the Warranty and vouch for his work.
