Review: Put in a 18 (approx) by 50 (appox) stamped concrete patio. In June of 2013. By August of 2013 we had 2 cracks in the patio. It took (appox) 6 emails, 7 voice mails and 2 emails from my lawyer to get him to come back out and take a look. He would always reply "I will be out tomorrow," then not show. "I apologize I been busy I will be out next week" then not show up. 2/1/14 I was cleaning off my patio of some dirt and found a "pock mark" on it. I am not in the construction business but I would think we shouldn't have these issues within 7 months of installation. I sent him an email with a picture but really don't expect a response.I am truly fearful that this is just the beginning, I would expect it to start to show signs of aging and get a crack here and there over time, but not 7 months after installation. I was hoping to get 10 good years out of this but at this rate I am going to have to replace a LOT sooner than that.Desired Settlement: I really just want my patio fixed. I do not know if that requires a repour or the fixing of various sections (if that can be done) but at the end of the day I just want what I paid for.

To Whom It May Concern:We responded to this complaint. We observed 2 minor hair line cracks in a 1’ border. We made thenecessary expansion cuts. Also there was 1 minor spald about the size of a pennywhich was filled in.Our contract states we are not responsible for random cracking. This complaint was resolved. I know it is not going to last forever, but expected more durability than I have had to this point. We have had horrible winters over the last two years, but 2 months after installation we started to see cracks. We had it installed in June and started to see the cracks in August.

Review: JJI Concrete Construction installed a concrete patio at our house on May 30, 2012. Upon inspecting the patio on that same date I noticed - and reported to JJI Concrete Construction ([redacted]) - that the concrete patio leaned toward our house and I was concerned that we might get water in our house if it rained. After exchanging several e-mails with JJI about this, he called my cell the morning of May 31, 2012 @ approximately 6:40 AM: and says (paraphrasing), Im not playing this [redacted] game, I want my money, theres nothing wrong with that patio / its beautiful. I respond by saying (paraphrasing), Yes it is beautiful, Im looking at it right now but I dont want water in my basement every time it rains because you leaned the concrete toward the house / our access doors. He continues to say he wants his money and hangs up on me. In addition to trying to leave for work, I felt intimidated and somewhat threatened yet thought we could resume our conversation later. Moments later I sent him a text message indicating my wife would leave a check on our porch (she did not want to see him in person / felt threatened) for him as he still had to return to do some work on the driveway which had nothing to do with the patio. He returned that day and, in spite of saying there was nothing wrong with the patio, he ran a hose on it, saw water run in and tried (unsuccessfully) to correct it. I had not heard from him through all of June and most of July during which time we continued to get rain water in our house.Several text messages and photos were sent to him and on July 18, 2012 @ 9:19 PM he wrote: We can set a day to meet. There are couple solutions in fixing it. One is setting a small curb along area as a channel. It would be the same Color and texture. Let me know what day is good for you.As of this date September 2, 2012 I have yet to hear from or see him / no corrective action has been taken and we continue to get water in our house.Desired Settlement: I want him to correct the problem but in an aesthetically pleasing fashion and to my liking. We put a lot of time, work and money into our patio / landscaping I do not want an ugly curb to correct the problem which would also become a tripping hazard. NOTE: As an aside, we had a contractor here a few weeks ago for an estimate on some siding. He commented on how nice the patio looked but also asked, what happened here where it leans in.

Review: In the spring of 2014, we had JJI put a very expensive concrete patio in our backyard. We knew there would be SOME grass damage from the equipment coming in and out. JJI was very clear with us that they didn't do landscaping, that was fine, we would landscape the yard. He did tell us that he would grade out the yard and get the rock chunks and concrete out. ** and his worker told my husband and I that they were doing another big job and had extra dirt for us. That was back in June. My yard as of October still is not graded or fixed from the deep tracks of the bulldozer. We have made countless phone calls, texts, emails, and had our attorney sent a letter about this. JJI eventually texted my husband back and apologized saying they were working on a big job and would be back to fix ours. That was months ago!!! All we wanted was for him to come in with his equipment and grade out the side of our yard and backyard. I regret giving him the 2nd half of our check to pay for the patio until this mess he left was fixed. He has the equipment large enough to fix this mess!! His bulldozer even broke down in our backyard and was left there for a week when he said he would be back in 2 days to get it. We didn't complain, assuming he would honor his word and fix our yard. He did the same thing to my neighbor when he was supposed to come back and fix their patio. They WARNED us about JJI, saying he wouldn't come back when he said he would. We are VERY ANGRY that once he got his money that he left us high and dry without fixing our yard. Do NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR CONCRETE WORK!! We are considering going to the magistrate to resolve the matter. We wish we would've read the other complaints before going with this company. If you need him to come back after the job is done, forget it...go with another reputable company.Desired Settlement: We would like JJI to come back and spend a short amount of time with the equipment he has to grade out our yard. It looks terrible and he told us both verbally and in texts that he would be here to fix our yard. We want it fixed before the weather gets colder and the ground is hard.
