J&K Cabinetry Reviews (2)

We would like to apologize to the customer for the unpleasant experience she might had with our cabinets We did receive her first termite complaint through email on Friday Oct**, 2016; we made our initial response acknowledging her complaint on Monday Oct**, 2016; and after a thorough review and a short delay, we resolved the complaint on Saturday Nov*, 2016, by providing the customer a free replacement of the same Inches Sink Base Cabinet However, we also made particularly clear to the customer that this free replacement is not done out of regular Warrant coverage, because it is impossible that the termite issue the customer mentioned was a result of our unqualifying cabinet materials nor was it a case of our manufacturing defect But it is a very rare case; we have only encountered two termite complaints with out cabinets for the past years we've been in business, and both cases occurred only at customers' houses and confined only to one and the same state area Hence, in keeping to our company goal of providing quality products and services to all of our customers, we still offered the free replacement for the customer as a special case.Below is a final summary of our findings sent to the customer, on Thursday Nov [redacted] 2016:----------It is our understanding that you purchased our J&K cabinets from a local contractor, Absolute Kitchen and Bath, on June [redacted] As such, we have no way of telling how this particular cabinet at issue was being handled by your contractor between the time it left our J&K warehouse and the time when it actually arrived at your house Although the exterminator you hired suggested that the termites might already be inside the cabinet when it was installed by your contractor, this does not necessarily conclude that the termites were already in our cabinet components when we actually manufactured or built the cabinets This is based on the following reasons First, our cabinet materials--solid wood and plywood--are all sourced from responsible forestry and lumber suppliers that are FSC certified and CARBcompliant Our cabinet manufacturing process involves repeated steps of heating, cutting, shaping, sanding, painting, and reheating of the wood materials that would give no chance for any termite to colonize in our cabinet components In fact, we never had a single termite issue at our manufacturing facility since we were in business Secondly, we also never had any termite issues with our cabinets that are stored and stocked at our J&K warehouses Thirdly, the termite issue that you've brought to our attention is actually the second case that we have ever heard of in the past years we have been in business, and both cases occurred only at customers' houses and confined only to the State of Florida. The above evidently tells us that the termites would have to come from a different source other than from the cabinet material itself, although at this juncture, we are not able to determine exactly how the termites got into our cabinet at your house Again, it is impossible that the wood materials were already infested with termites when we manufactured or built the cabinets, as your exterminator suggested.---------- Thank you!

review and a short delay, we resolved the complaint on Saturday Nov. *, 2016, by providing the customer a free replacement of the same 36 Inches Sink Base Cabinet.  However, we also made particularly clear to the customer that this free replacement is not done out of regular Warrant coverage, because it is impossible that the termite issue the customer mentioned was a result of our unqualifying cabinet materials nor was it a case of our manufacturing defect.  But it is a very rare case; we have only encountered two termite complaints with out cabinets for the past 13 years we've been in business, and both cases occurred only at customers' houses and confined only to one and the same state area.  Hence, in keeping to our company goal of providing quality products and services to all of our customers, we still offered the free replacement for the customer as a special case.Below is a final summary of our findings sent to the customer, on Thursday Nov. ** 2016:----------It is our understanding that you purchased our J&K cabinets from a local contractor, Absolute Kitchen and Bath, on June [redacted] 2015.  As such, we have no way of telling how this particular cabinet at issue was being handled by your contractor between the time it left our J&K warehouse and the time when it actually arrived at your house.  Although the exterminator you hired suggested that the termites might already be inside the cabinet when it was installed by your contractor, this does not necessarily conclude that the termites were already in our cabinet components when we actually manufactured or built the cabinets.  This is based on the following reasons.  First, our cabinet materials--solid wood and plywood--are all sourced from responsible forestry and lumber suppliers that are FSC certified and CARB2 compliant.  Our cabinet manufacturing process involves repeated steps of heating, cutting, shaping, sanding, painting, and reheating of the wood materials that would give no chance for any termite to colonize in our cabinet components.  In fact, we never had a single termite issue at our manufacturing facility since we were in business.  Secondly, we also never had any termite issues with our cabinets that are stored and stocked at our 17 J&K warehouses.  Thirdly, the termite issue that you've brought to our attention is actually the second case that we have ever heard of in the past 13 years we have been in business, and both cases occurred only at customers' houses and confined only to the State of Florida. The above evidently tells us that the termites would have to come from a different source other than from the cabinet material itself, although at this juncture, we are not able to determine exactly how the termites got into our cabinet at your house.  Again, it is impossible that the wood materials were already infested with termites when we manufactured or built the cabinets, as your exterminator suggested.---------- Thank you!
