This is why I don't do residential workThis is my first complaint everI am a small business that respects individuals and expects that in return "it's simple"I couldn't provide an estimate because the scope wasn't clearThe home owner had issues he wanted fixed including a in identified number of circuits he wanted in a existing panelWhen I mentioned 1000-I hadn't even seen the projectWhen I saw the existing panel with circuits we had to relocate to another panel and ten circuits he wanted to move into the exist, basically swapping circuit I new it would take time but I still couldn't judge that timeI simply said wel'll get it done for youThe inspector came to inspect and said wonderful job, didn't know JKM but they do good workThat's my side of the storyI sent him a bill and he doesn't want to pay for the second day of labor

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It does not address the issue and is not factually accurate Jim from JKM failed to mention he was on site and examined the work to be done before any work was startedHe failed to say he had a complete set of pictures mailed to him prior to coming out to the site to begin any workHe failed to mention that he missed an appointment in it's entirety with no phone call to provide an estimate before the beginning of any workHe was asked again for both a verbal and written estimateHe repeated to me $1,000-$1,and said he would send me a written estimateIt never happenedHe does not explain why he refuses to send an itemized invoice, he fails to explain why he used parts that were years old sitting in his warehouse "Waiting for a job to use them on.", he fails to address why no notification was made when the cost exceeded his estimateNot by just a little, but doubling the cost initially quoted He offers no solutions, only weak excuses while continuing to question my integrityHe charged me $for a $permit If you don't do residential work, than say thatHow would your commercial accounts feel if you failed to provide them with a written estimate, an itemized invoice and then charged them double what the job was quoted as costing They would not stand for it and would hold you accountable just as I am I will repeat what I have said before...I am not questioning the quality of the work, just the business/administration aspect of itThe owner has no customer service skills as can be evidenced by his communications If the original quote was what I was actually charged in the end, I would not have had the work done or authorized any work to begin Regards, [redacted]
