approval code for the return is, in fact, supplied by cardholder's credit card company. The customer service person told me to give the cardholder the approval code and reference number so it can be supplied to their credit card company. The approval code is XXXXXX and the reference number for the transaction is XXXXXXXXXXX. As the transaction has already been settled and the charges returned from my processor, the funds will need to be returned by their credit card company as they are in receipt of those funds.
