Review: This contractor repaired a leak in my Townhouse. The job included tearing out areas of wall affected by the leak in the bathroom, replacing the wall board and tile and re caulking the tile and tub. Within several months, water began to leak through the can light in the living room below that bathroom. I contacted [redacted], the owner, and he said it was probably because someone was leaving the shower curtain out of the tub and flooding the floor. This was not the case and he would not return to investigate the issue or his work. My insurance company sent a plumber, a moisture company and a leak detection company to the home and even inspected the two townhomes adjacent to my home. Finally the leak detection company determined the caulk used was inferior and the materiel used in the wall behind the tile was the wrong material and water was running into the wall where the inferior and unsealed caulk was used as well as where the wallboard used for secure the tile was crumbling.Desired Settlement: Since [redacted] refuses to return and repair the inferior work, I am requesting a refund of the total amount paid for the project plus $500.00 paid for my deductible on my insurance which will not cover inferior workmanship.

Review: JLC Contracting made plumbing repairs to this home about a year ago due to leaking faucet valves in two bathrooms. Now one is leaking again into the living room below which is the same problem occurring before the repair. I contacted [redacted], owner and he told me it was probably due to leaving the shower curtain out of the tub and flooding the bathroom but he would contact the renter and inspect the problem. He set up several appointments and never showed and now will not answer his phone when I call or return any calls. He guaranteed the work saying he upgraded the valves that were in place and I agreed to pay a higher price for the upgrade. His website also states he guarantees all his work. I have water leaking into the wall and between floors again but **. [redacted] will not respond.Desired Settlement: JLC Contracting to honor the guarantee or refund the cost of the initial repair so I may have another company perform a proper repair before excessive damage or mold develops.
