based off the exam that was done at "Callie's" annual physical The estimate included the cost for extractions It is very difficult to determine on a routine exam how many if any extractions are necessary until the teeth are cleaned and a complete exam is done under anesthesia.That morning *** *** decided she wanted her other dog "***l" to have the dental rather than "Callie" *** *** was given an estimate at that time *** *** was told there may be extractions required when this dog was examined in January When a pet is under anesthesia for a dental cleaning and extractions are needed, we do not routinely contact the client The purpose of a professional dental exam and cleaning is to restore the pet's mouth to health It is more painful to leave damaged and unhealthy teeth in a pet's mouth, plus it leads to other systemic diseases including heart and kidney diseaseIn an effort to help *** ***, we offered to let her make three installment payments and also gave her the dental promotion discount We gave her a further discount of $which was the difference between the actual charges and the estimate amount I feel *** *** was treated fairly In regards to the billing fee, any business charges clients to carry a balance.

We have sent [redacted] an invoice on Tuesday, May 17 for the balance of $209.36 with a note that we would forego the May service charge if paid in full by the end of May. Today we received a request from the Clinton Veterinary Hospital requesting [redacted]'s pet records. In a further effort to resolve this issue, I will credit [redacted]'s account for all service charges leaving the balance of $194.44. [redacted] may pick up her records here at her convenience.
