documentation of all contracts, including the gown release form that the bride signed after inspecting the gown when it first arrived, and a follow up release form after alterations. This is a voluminous bridal gown, with many hand sewn flowers and layers of fabric. In addition to the alterations originally agreed upon, the bride requested to have over 100 of the petals sewn down, which the alterations seamstress did not charge for the extra work but these additional requests did of course take more time as it was extremely meticulous work. Also, the bride passing out during the appointment had nothing to do with the alterations, the bride told us that herself. There is documentation of the bride picking up the dress after final alterations, and was pleased with the work. She wore the gown to her wedding and there are photos of her looking happy and beautiful. Our team at the salon attempted to resolve the situation by offering to refund $200 of the alterations towards the straps ([redacted]'s concern in the complaint). This $200 would more that cover the cost of adjusting the spaghetti straps. The seamstress fitted the straps, and we thought the bride was ultimately happy with the gown. After hearing from [redacted], we attempted to rectify the situation as fairly as possible. In addition, the bride received a discount on the gown as well as a gift card when she initially purchased during a trunk show.The bride left with the gown after multiple alterations appointments (the standard for bridal gowns) and signed a gown release form stating she was satisfied with everything. The bride wore the gown for her wedding and looked beautiful and happy. While we want all of our customers to have a wonderful JLM experience, we feel that the $200 offered as a reimbursement is more than fair.
