Company offered the following phone response:Consumer signed a contract with the company that states consumer has days to file a claim for any damages Company believes it is not liable because state law, according to company, states that the consumer has days to file a claim and
consumer failed to do so within days Company also states that the contract does not cover items made of pressed particle board, and that items consumer claims were damaged were in fact made of pressed particle board

Not sure where you come up with the dollar amount of $250.00  ( the damage claim via the contract states .60 cents a pound per item which is standard minimum insurance that you choose on your move day. The maximum reimburstment value is $60.00 for the piece of furniture it does not included a...

set or multialbe pieces it is only weight of the damage piece. AS per the insurance you signed up for.WE also reserve the right withing the contract to fix the piece before paying monetary compensation in which we are still willing to assemble the piece. The damage came to $20.00 in which we have already purchased for you immediately after the damage was created. We can come and install the piece tomorrow evening if that is ok. As per your contract it states we have 90 days to close any claim and after the last email you were asked when we could resechudle and you have never responded so that can not be put on our shoulders. WE assumed that you just installed the piece. WE will install the piece for you tomorrow in the late afternoon evening time. Please respond here if that is ok. WE will no longer communicate with you on the telephone as we need all documentation of your responses in writing since a Revdex.com complaint has been issued. Thank you very much and have a great day !

As per state law we will be reimbursing you the allotted $24.00 for a 40 lb rocking chair. that we will not be responsible for minor nicks and dings to walls or floors if that coverage is not taken. The day of the move you text ed me pictures of the rocking chair and at that time I offered you $18.00 for the reimbursement of .60c per lb. You never responded to the offer so I assumed that you were not pressing the issue. Then subsequently you begin to blast me on Facebook and call us names and the like, then proceed to call us unprofessional. I am sorry if you don't communicate with us we have no way of helping you. Once a claim is initiated it is required to do all communication in writing, you claim an appointment was set. Seeing how I am the one that makes the appointments I am not sure how that happened. I had no phone call from you ! . The $24.00 will be in the mail this Friday to the address that you text ed me with , claiming we should have your address etc. we confirm the address that way it is sure to get to the proper location in a timely manner. I hope that you have a great day. The $100.00 is totally unreasonable and will not be issued. The contract clearly states that you choose the .60 per lb option for your move which a 40 lb rocking chair is $24.00

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I spend two months after the move trying to get a hold of someone. It seemed as if my calls were being blocked, and sent to voicemail. I eventually called with a blocked number, left a message stating that I wanted a quote for moving services and then finally, Kristi returned my call. At that point I explained the items damaged and missing and emails began (which I have included in with Rhonda). Kristi acknowledged the issues, and stated a insurance claim check would be sent out before Christmas - and then communication ceased. No one said a word regardless of countless emails.  - So I guess if they want to hold true to thier 60 day policy - and they ignore phone calls from unhappy customers for 60 days - they win? I want this to be over. If they don't want to pay a few hundred dollars to right a very clear wrong - that's on them and their conscience.  What I absolutely do want back is the teal 3 drawer cart on wheels that was STOLEN from our home. It was BRAND NEW - unused and after the move - MISSING!!!! We found a broken wheel sitting on a shelf in our garage. This items was STOLEN by the movers. That is not okay. If they want to stand firm to their "contract policy" all of the sudden - I dont think there is anything I can do about that. But I do need to advocate to receive the cart back - OR the amount of money it will cost to buy a new one.   Thank you for your help in this matter. I am so dissapointed in this company for so many reasons. The move was bad enough - they didnt fulfil thier end by sending enough guys and we spend 14 hours in a single family move. - I just want this to be over with.  [redacted]
Regards,
[redacted] Hohlakis
