many of our clients, who have never questioned our integrity or honesty, which allows us to continue to receive additional work and referralsRegarding the project done for *** *** *** *** JMAC Contractors worked to do everything possible to satisfy them from the start of the jobAfter a year of estimates and budget discussions, JMAC Contractors provided the *** with a proposal to fit their budget needs and together decided to go with an area of the deck that worked bestDespite having additional work after this particular project, JMAC Contractors proposed a total amount excluding operational cost; however, the cost of material made this project go $5,over budgetThe *** claim the materials used were cheap, but JMAC Contractors used high premium material with the exception of one of the door openings in which builder grade material was usedThe homeowner wanted the doors to be black in color, but Azek does not offer black as a color option due to the fact sun exposure would lead to cracking in the materialWith all said and done, the cost of materials totaled a little over $21,The cost was addressed with *** ***, who was told we needed to charge him an additional $2,to cover the additional costWe also had receipts and an itemized list of costs to bathe costs and purchasesThe job slowed when money ran out, and I was pulling money out of my own personal account to continue to do the workThe *** then accused us of stealing, which is a accusationAll materials purchased were used and able to be accounted for in the project*** did supply us with a box of cedar shingles, which we used on his job, and any shingles left over remained on his property in a blue bin under his deck along with or pieces of vinyl soffitWe passed all inspections and completed the job with a final C/OThe day we began the job I mentioned to the *** there was going to be an exposed section of the deck, which was not factored in to the contract priceThis was due to the fact the homeowner was not ready to do the full addition, in which that section would have fallen under the other portion of the new deck and would not be seenBecause we did not do the full deck it was exposed, as previously mentioned, and the homeowner wanted something done about it months after the project began and did not acknowledge our original conversationI explained additional money would be needed to purchase the materials and to pay for the laborThe original architectural plans, designed by the homeowner’s architect, had a mistake, which caused JMAC Contracts to redo the stairs on the deck and, in turn, cut the width of the deck by inchesWe are sorry the *** are not satisfied with their beautiful deck, however, their claim we stole from them has put our business in distress and caused us to lose approximately $400,-$600,this seasonPotential clients may understand we can’t make everyone happy, but a claim of theft puts a misleading blemish on our otherwise great record of client satisfactionJMAC Contractors works with many referral companies, where potential clients are seeing these reviewsSince the ***’ review was posted, we have had potential clients cancel estimates over timesI have tried to contact the *** as of recent and have not yet had a response
