Scammers
The tow truck driver whom would not give his name towed my car from Canby park shopping center. I pulled in beside him to go retrieve pampers for my children at 4:30 I had to be at the childcare center to pick them up in 15 mins. He watched me exit my vehicle and enter the store and quickly hooked my car and tried to speed away. Other shoppers in the store tried to intervene as This all happened in less then 4 minutes. The cashier got my attention and by the time I made it outside he was speeding away. A random shopper offered me a ride and we caught them riding around Wilmington with my car on the tow trying to waste time in order to charge more 345 and they gave my husband my car with no idea who he was. Wouldn’t give me his name or information. Looking to follow up in civil court has anyone heard or had any success with complaints?

Predictors who illegally tow cars and demand payment via cash or cash App only!
My car was parked in the apartment building legally and just because it was out of state car they simply towed it away. They go specifically in such area to two cars illegally. When I called him at around noon on Wed 11/23 (Tues) he said the office is closed now because everyone went home for thanksgiving. I was so shocked that he even said that because it was not Wednesday which I would maybe able to understand a day before thanksgiving but Tues. Also, keep in mind it is the same one person who is supervisor, call operator, and release “manager” etc. It's one person show with one female assistance, and they use a phone app to text and call from different numbers!
They gave me the same s[censored] about how others reviewers mentioned that they are closed on Fri/sat/sun, and I have to come back on Monday to get my car. Then the address that shows on website is not correct address, and they asked me to come at a shady address (JNA Towing, 52 Fernwood Ave, New Castle, DE, 19720) of a parking lot to give them $455 cash or I will not get my car back. When I showed up at this address with a friend of mine, there is no indication of the company's name, or sign or anything as it's a run down building. Therefore, I asked the guy and woman to show their ID's and my car first before I can hand them money (middle age heavy set African American male and his assistance middle-aged skinny white woman) They said they were leaving home for the thanksgiving, and they don't have any ID's on them and when I asked for their company's LIC number he go angry at me and told me he is not there to waste his time and if I keep asking him these questions, I will not get my car back. He also mentioned that he is not there to provide any provide that “confidential” info. Then they drove off, telling me that I was wasting his time and come back on Monday to get my car back. After they drove off, I called the police, and they said they can't do anything because it's a civil matter. While I was on the call with police, that guy came back and said if you want your car now, pay cash, or you can wait until Monday. I live in NYC and I couldn't wait until Monday, and he told me to go to Wawa right across the street to get cash (he even knew that there are no fees etc from that ATM). I had no choice to get the cash since they said they can't take credit card or check (now I wonder why) hence I need to pay them cash after they showed my car. The issue is that they gave me a receipt back but guess what, they reused the old receipt by simply crossing out other persons information because they said they ran out of receipts and their office is closed at this time hence they can't give me a new receipt. There is no indication that it is by J N A as it seems like some bogus receipt. I am not sure who to contact to get help and who to report these scammers to, but I plan to reach out to the Mayor's office first and then Governors since police was not willing to help as I felt so helpless that night.

JNA towing is the biggest scam/ripoff company I have ever encounteredThey are liars and manipulators and prey on twenty somethingsI just moved to town and they towed my car for parking ten minutes longer than I was supposed to even though I walked outside AS they were towing it and tried to stop themThey then told me it would cost $to get it back that night but it had to be cash or I could wait until the following day and pay with a card but it would be $Since I did not have $cash I waited until the next day when they STILL wouldn't give me my car unless I paid cashI told them I didn't have cash which is why I waited until the next day and they refused to release my car to meThey then charged me another $because they had to stay past 4pmThey are the WORST company and I plan on moving out of my apartment building JUST because this company governs the parking lot

would give zero they are constantly targareting the city east side area the poorest part of the city! they circle the block all day long I watch as they quickly come in a parking lot and tow cars that just pulled up. they also tell customers they have to wait until the next day to get their cars back. 295.00 and 45.00 a day is what they charge. They are plowing the areas and even paying some building resident to call that's in building 301 and fee to call while chris Maldonado hides his tow truck on the other side. You cant even have a guest knock on your door with out fear of car being towed. Food delivery drivers are not safe either its digusting what they are doing and robbing people blind to get their car back. this company not going to be around much longer city of Wilmington had enough!11

Review: Our car was parked out in front of [redacted] Apartment buildings. The building has four 30 minute parking spaces out in front of the apartment building. These spaces are monitored by J.N.A Towing & Parking Enforcement Co. On the evening of Thursday, February 27th, my girlfriend's mother's car was parked in one of the four spaces. She arrived at 8:32 and upon leaving at 8:59 her car had already been towed by J.N.A Towing. She immediately called the towing company who said the car was already at the lot. According to Google Maps. From our apartment to their lot takes 7 minutes. How could the car already be in the lot? We notified the Wilmington Police Department, that our car had been taken illegally as we were not parked for 30 minutes yet our car had been towed. They told us there was nothing they could do since this was a civil matter. We are checking with our building for surveillance video. We showed up at their impound lot, at which point we had to pay "cash only", $305. Upon giving cash to the driver he tried to make change and then altered his stance and insisted that we had actually not given him enough. Once we said "No we gave you enough", he quickly changed his tune. He did not check for ownership of the car simply took our word that it was our car and let us take it. We took a photo of the USDOT number of the tow truck. J.N.A had a USDOT of 1987582. The number is Registered to a Karma Recovery II LLC. I asked for his license plate number. The driver said "Sorry I dont have one". Then Once we started to leave he said "Oh you mean this one?" And lit up the back of his truck and then drove off. Upon researching J.N.A and Karma Recovery II we noticed that J.N.A. is not registered as a DBA (Doing Business As) federally or with the state. I would like to know if J.N.A. is legally registered as a tow company. Also I would like to know what our options are against fighting the 30 minute parking violation. I Believe they are an ILLEGAL company, J.N.A. that is.Desired Settlement: J.N.A. said they will refund our money if we can prove that we were not there for 30 min but our building said they will look into it but probably wont let us see that tape. So essentially since J.N.A. has a contract with our building, they are simply allowed to tow whenever they feel like it, we HAVE to pay the $305 and then any evidence we would have is with the building management we says sorry too bad. So they can just tow and say yeah we have it marked down too bad pay up. FULL REFUD
