Mr*** hired me to fix a leaking roof and the damage that was caused to two rooms by the leaking roof. The initial bid that was given to Mr*** was for that work. While working on his house, additional damage was discovered and Mr*** approved the additional work that needed to be
completed. Mr*** wrote a check that was returned by his bank due to insufficient funds. He never refused to pay due to the quality of the job. We contacted Mr*** to discuss the returned check and were told that his bank account information had been compromised and that we would receive payment We never received payment. Mr*** contacted us months later and stated that the room we had worked on was leaking and wanted us to come back and fix it. We told him that we would be happy to come take a look at the leak, and reminded him that we had warned him about his chimney being in disrepair when we completed his roof, which he chose not to fix at that time. We made an appointment to come look at the leak, which he subsequently cancelled with us that same evening. We also stated that we would be happy to repair any damage that was a result of our work once we had received payment from him for the work that we had completed in May
