Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/07) */
Mr. [redacted] originally brought his vehicle to us on 3/16/15 for a Power Steering whine and an Oil change. We recommended he change his Power Steering Pump, and two (2) Power Steering lines. It was also noted that we recommended changing his Fuel...

Pump due to a hard start issue. Customer stated he was aware of hard start issue due to having to cycle key onloff to build up pressure.
On 3129115, Mrs. [redacted] returned with her vehicle complaining of a whine under acceleration. We discovered the noise was coming from the new Power Steering Pump. We replaced the Pump at No Charge to the customer.
Mrs. [redacted] returned on 4113/15 with a noise under the hood. We contacted our parts supplier, TBA, and received a third (3rd) Power Steering Pump which we installed at No Charge again.
On 612/15, Mrs. [redacted], returned for us to check her lights, check her Drive Belt (shredded) and that the vehicle has a vibration and a rubber smell since last repair. It was discovered that the Drive Belt had a knick missing on the edge of the belt. The belt was shown to Mr. [redacted] and explained to him that it appeared as if the belt was hit by some
road depris. It was also discussed that he needed to return to the business that installed his engine if the vibration occured at idle. If the vibration occurred at highway speeds he needed to take the vehicle back to the Tire Shop for a Tire Balance and/or Alignment. He stated he was going to leave ow- shop and return to Schoetler Tire and discuss the problem with them. We replaced the Drive Belt at No Charge. Customer was only charged for the Fog Light replacement and Bulb.
At this time, I discussed with Mr. [redacted] that he would only deal with him personally due to Mrs. [redacted]' irrational behavior in the past. She called numerous times screaming at my Service Writer complaining that we are deliberately sabotaging her vehicle and compaining of items not working that we never touched and locations we've never been, i.e., the gas tank. Mr. [redacted] stated that his wife has been instructed by "most of the shops in town" to not return because of her erratic behavior. In this discussion, it also came across that Mr. [redacted] dealt with issues on this vehicle without her knowledge due to her attitude.
On Invoice dated 6/12/15, the vehicle was brought in by Mr. [redacted] for an SES light (Check Engine) and for the A/C not being cold. It was discovered that there was Charcoal from the Evap Charcoal Canister stuck in the Evap Hoses, the Purge Solenoid and the Vacuum Diag Switch. We replaced those items, added a filter and blew out the Evap Lines. Also discussed with Mr. [redacted] the previous shop, C&S, that had previously replaced his Charcoal Canister didn't blow out lines or replace filter and that' s why Charcoal ended up in hoses, solenoid, etc. It states in Mrs. [redacted]' complaint that she paid Car Plus $113.00 to fill A/C freon and that she paid another shop $133.00 for a second refill. Obviously she has a leak and this is due to the AJC System missing the Caps for the Schrader Valves, the Hoses have been cut and spliced back together and this will not work for this type of system. R134a, due to High Pressures (upwards of 300 PSI). Re-discussed the Fuel Pump replacement and the Hard Start issue.
Her accusations that I've sabotaged her vehicle are ludicrous. I've been in business at this location for eight (8) years, have been in the industry for approximately 40 years, and value my reputation. She stated that because her husband works at P.G. & E. and has a heart condition, we feel we can take advantage of them. My business does Service Work for P.G. & E. on their fleet trucks so why would I jeopardize my working relationship with them over $1,125.00? Also, we weren't aware that Mr. [redacted] had a heart condition.
Mrs. [redacted] called my shop yesterday, 8/6115, screaming at me. She preceded to hang up. I immediately called back and got her machine, whereas l instructed her to have her husband call me or come in so that we may have a civil conversation.
If I can answer any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime.
Thanking you in advance.
Sincerely.
[redacted] R. [redacted] Sr. Owner
