I have a GMC YukonThe back hatch stopped openingMy usual mechanic removed the plastic off the door to reveal the working partsHe could not figure out what was wrongSo I brought it hereI arrived at 8:a.mThey told me to sit tight at 9:a.mbecause they were about to pull it inThey came to me at 9:a.mto tell me what needed to be doneThey told me the part was $Then they told me it would be a total of $to fix the problemThey had an hour into diagnosis (see times above and do the math) and it would take them another hour to fix it
The first problem with this is that they are charging $an hourWhich is ridiculousThe second problem is that they are padding the hoursTwo hours?! I doubt itThe plastic cover was even off for them all readyWe will never be backIt is a shame instead of gaining a new loyal customer they have lost as many as I can possibly reach with my experience

I purchased my Chevy Equinox at Marlow Ford in Luray, VaIt is a It was purchased in January of In March of I began to have problems with oil consumption issuesI took the vehicle to Marlow Ford and once the issues were discovered they suggested that I go to a Chevy dealership for repair, so I was referred to Joe Bowman My first apptthere was in May I was told that I had to follow GM's guidelines to get the issues covered under warrantyNo problem, I agreed I went for consecutive oil consumption checks, then I was told by management that I needed more In the meanwhile I am being told by the service manager that "my parts have been ordered" I went in for the forth or fifth check and my paperwork could not be found because it was never completed, my info was written down on the back of scratch paper and apparently lostMultiple calls were made with no follow calls from the managerThe last time I went in there which was November 2016, the manager was on vacation and again no sign of my parts, mind you that I have been waiting since May! So therefore I went to Jack Evens in Front Royal, VaThey had my parts in stockThey did not even need to do the oil consumption checksThey repaired all my vehicles issues even going above and beyond to fix the timing chain The service was hands down the best I have ever had, quick and efficientMy vehicle was even washed and shined for me when I picked it upI will never go to Joe Bowman again

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Biased on the scripted response, they have no respect or concern for the safety of their customers just excuses. They were turned down due to the fact that I was unable to trust them. If those pads had what they stated they had on them they would have made it past the 1st oil change. I have driven 60,000 miles a year for the last 15 years in this region and have never encountered brakes wearing out before the first oil change. I now understand why they told me how important the extended and the factory warranty was which I purchased, yet I still had to pay for repairs at the first oil change. Speaking with other customers and my mechanic, there was 1 thing they had in common no positive statements regarding this business. I guess I learned the hard way.Thank you for your assistance,[redacted]

Subject: ID [redacted] To whom it may concern; At the time that this car was inspected at our shop prior to the customer taking delivery in 11/2015 the rear brake pads had more than 3 times the thickness required to pass the Virginia State Inspection so they did not require replacement....

Also the front pads and rotors were replaced at the time of inspection.  The other owner of the car was informed of this when they called and question why the pads required replacement.  The pads had worn past the wear indicator and into the rotor when it returned to our shop in 2/2016.  Excessive heat plays in important role in brake pad lifespan and living in a mountainous region that can impact braking conditions and temperatures.  At that time I spoke to the other owner of the car, I offered to assist with the repair but they refused, stated they were coming to get the car, and hung up. [redacted]General ManagerJoe Bowman Auto Plaza[redacted]"Because That's The Joe Bowman Way!"
