Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here]I have read Joe C***'s response He is not being totally truthful The tile job is horrific I told him the subway tile was not laid corrected and pointed out numerous obvious errors He took off a few tiles The bathroom niches were not only installed wrong, they are different sized and not straight The floors were not laid correctly He grout half of my floor and said he would do the rest when he came back My kitchen floor was laid incorrectly Many tripping issue and horrible edged cuts that are obvious to the eye. The biggest problem with all of this, is that Joe is not a licensed electrician and illegally installed ran wire and installed a device (outlet) in my wallTo install this device, Joe used Romex wire, which is against the National Electric Code. The entire job was done wrongI asked him to fix the niches (to take them out) he said NO I am an single mother, I was a woman along trying my best to control this construction site He took advantage of me If I were a man standing over him, he wold have correctly laid the tile I did not want him bringing in anyone else because if he had reputable workers he wanted to FIX the horrible job, why didn't he use these reputable workers to INSTALL the job correctly the first time Why being unskilled laborers to my job I have many photos to back up my dispute I have had two different tiles companies come in and said they didn't even want to attempt to fix the mess he made He took advantage of me and yes he was rude Who shrugs there shoulders and a customer when they are asking why something is incorrect I need to have the job redone and I paid him $13,to make a huge mess of my apartment I have photos to back up my claims In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.Sincerely,

[redacted] and I had a great contractor/ customer relationship for over 2 months... she had a great personality and loved and she appreciated everything we did...according to her the bathroom was designed around a crushed glass insert in a niche in the center of the shower... the tile she picked...

out had to be installed in 2 pieces so there was a small grout line which could not be helped... after it was completed she was not happy with what she chose so I offered to change it for her at no charge... she declined..she even picked a different tile with her friend and I gave her the measurements so she could cut them perfect in her store and I was going to install it no problem...the next day, she was unhappy with a couple of tiles that were a little uneven and I removed and replaced what ever she was unhappy with ...then the last day I was there every thing was great she loved everything, she was happy with everything and gave me a $5,000 and $3,00 0 check... She had a $3000 balance left for when I came back to finish after the cabinets were installed , floors were sanded, scrapped and finished and she got the grout that she didn't order enough for bathroom floor....Whatever was not finished was because there wasn't enough material because her friend who owns a tile store did not order enough or wasn't ready to be finished and would have been completed when ready but I never had the chance.... A week later I noticed she bounced the $3000 check and tried to contact customer but no response ... Then a week later. I received an email saying this complaint and she would not talk to me or let me even see what she was all of a sudden not happy with... I tried calling ,texting and emailing for days and days to rectify the problem but she did not let me I even offered to hire a third party well known tile company to do whatever they had to do to make her happy and she emailed back only this is not a negotiation she want s $13,000 ALL THE MONEY for over a 3 week job back..... I went over and beyond for her and I was never rude or disrespectful to her or any other customer ever in my 30 yrs of business...Ive always had a great friendly relationship with all my customers...We worked late hrs and even on the weekend to get things done the right way... In closing she actually owes me over $6,000 with only about 2-3 days of work left....and refused to let me complete.... Regardless of her dissatisfaction Ive tried many times to rectify the situation and even offered other reputable companies to rectify but still refuses ..

As I stated in my first response, I tried many times to finish the job and make customer happy but she would not even let me see what she was unhappy with or even have a conversation... she will not even speak to me...  ... The customer was unhappy with her tile selection for the niches and I tried to make her happy and said I would replace the tiles and measured exactly with her friend who owns a tile store,, she was going to cut them and I was going to replace it at no charge...now  she is saying I wouldn't change it... TOTAL LIE... The house is 100 yrs old not one wall, floor, or ceiling is straight so its was impossible for any thing to be 100% straight... there is absolutely no tripping hazards any where... and the other tile companies who don't want to " fix the mess" is because there is no mess to fix and wouldn't be worth sending any one to fix something so minor....the job was not complete because her friend did not order enough grout for the floor , kitchen was not installed and customer did not have vanity and plumbing fixtures yet... Customer was happy with job the day I left and gave me $8000($5000 and $3000 checks) and held back $3000 because there was about 2-3 days left .then a week later she bounced $3000 check .If I  came back when she was ready I would have fixed any thing she was unhappy with... But that day never came and I tried MANY TIMES  to finish but for the first time in 30 yrs of business she would not let me or even speak to me???... So customer has $6000 of my money and want me to give her back $13000 and pay my plumber to make several trips because she doesn't have everything ready and pay him to finish????

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]I have attached photos of the substandard job that was done.  The fact that Joe C[redacted] keeps implying that he did nothing wrong shows me his lack of character.  The photos show how poorly he did the tile work.  In addition, he used Romex in a building that is 6 stories tall.  That is against code and is cause for a violations.  He should be fined. To say there is nothing wrong and that is why no one wants to fix it, well again shows his immaturity and lack of him having any pride in his workI am a single mother, single woman who put her trust in a contractor that came in and destroyed my apartment.  The reason I did not let him in again is because he already did so much damage and I couldn't allow him in to damage the apartment any further.  He made me cry on numerous occasions.  I specifically told him I was not happy with his work and told him to take it down and he told me point blank NO.  How was I suppose to argue with three men standing over me in my apartment.  I wanted him out.  He has cause so much physical damage and has caused me so much emotional stress.  It is two months later and I still cannot move into the apartment.  He can try to bully me in these emails, but from the bottom of my heart, I truly believe he knows he did me wrong and his trying to bully and manipulate me.  It is all very sad.  And now I am paying other contractors to come in and fix his mess.  Shame on him.  [redacted]
